One of the things we love most about summer is that the days are longer and we get to enjoy extra family after dinner when it is still light outside. We usually stick to a strict bedtime routine but during the holidays we grab the opportunity to enjoy a game in the garden or explore the neighbourhood together, lots of fun if it wasn’t for those nasty mosquitoes!

Mosquito bites may be small in size but they can have a big impact on my children’s mood and sleep (and therefore on me too). If you want to make sure those pesky mozzies fly straight past you but you don’t want to use nasty chemicals on or around your family look no further than Mozzigear.

Mozzigear BandsMozzigear creates non-toxic, deet free mosquito repelling products for the whole family so you are protected from mosquitoes without having to worry about harmful chemicals. Keeping mozzies at bay is a breeze with the brightly coloured Mozzigear Mosquito Bands (RRP $19.95, 6 pack), available in adult and children’s (4+) sizes. Just pop one on your wrist when you head outside to create your very own ‘safe-zone’. For up to 48 hours the pleasant citronella fragrance keeps mosquitoes away so you can fully enjoy the outdoors and even the water.

Mozzigear Mosquito PatchOne of my favourite Mozzigear products is the super clever Mozzigear Mosquito Patch (RRP $9.95, 10 pack), the perfect mosquito deterrent to protect newborns and babies. You can stick these adhesive patches on virtually anything like your child’s clothing, bedding or pram. Our 2-year old is too small for the Mosquito Band (and would most likely try to taste it or lose it anyway) but I can just pop this patch on her back without her noticing, a safe and simple solution.

Mosquito WipesIf you prefer an invisible mozzie barrier instead (the brightly coloured wrist bands may not be the ideal match for your pretty evening gown) you can simply wipe the exposed area down with all natural Mozzigear Mosquito Wipes (RRP $9.95, 10 wipes). These convenient, waterproof wipes are effective for up to 6 hours and thanks to added aloe vera and vitamin E they are even gentle enough for faces and delicate baby skin.

Mozzigear Mosquito RepellerNot a citronella fan? The Mozzigear Portable Ultrasonic Repeller (RRP $19.95) clips onto clothing and uses fast and powerful 5-20 KHz multi-frequency sound waves that stun and cause discomfort for most mosquitoes, encouraging them to stay out of your way. The compact (5.5 cm) battery operated device is reusable, works up to 3 metres and can be set to work for 4, 6 or 12 hours at a time, it’s the perfect odourless and chemical-free weapon against mosquitoes.

Mosquito ClickIn the unfortunate event that a mosquito (or another little nuisance like a sandfly, bull ant, horsefly or flea) does manage to nip your skin you don’t have to settle for days of scratching, the handy Mozzigear Mosquito Click (RRP $19.95, 6 months+) will take care of that itch real fast. This clever device is easy-to-use, perfect handbag size and will work instantly to reduce itching and inflammation. One single Mosquito Click can treat up to 5,000 bites!

  2. I would be keen to try the Mozziegear Portable Ultrasonic Repeller. I like the fact that you can set it for the length of time you need it, Its reuseable and will reach a distance of three metres, its chemical free and odourless too! Could use of the these gadgets!

  3. Any of these products would be awesome for our cruise in 20 days. Apparently there is Dengue fever and another fever in the Pacific Islands caused by those darn Mozzies! Thanks for the chance xx

  4. To win this would help me top cut back on my swearing and cussing due to being bitten so often! Went camping recently and I had so many bites on me I looked like I had measles or something!

  5. How did I not know about these products? Amazing new wave technology that can benefit the whole family.

  6. Portable Ultrasonic Repeller, first time I’ve seen one of these, in fact, I haven’t seen any of these products before. I can’t use those spray on and roll on repellents…these products are just what I should have been using.

  7. I would love to try the Mozziegear wristbands and have a “mozzie-free zone” around me.
The colours look trendy and the idea is hassle free and safe.

  13. We spend a lot of time outside with the neighbours and their kids. They all get eaten, Im not sure if the products work but I believe in try before you buy, if they do work then I will be a new customer.

  14. After being prescribed cream from the doctors for my sons bites which had an adverse reaction I would be keen to try any other solution 🙂

  15. I LOVE the mosquito bands idea! Genius! I have never seen these before. My 4yo loves to play outside in the late afternoon, but the mosquitoes adore her and she’s always bitten, I have to constantly spray her in mosquito spray to keep them at bay which is not only smelly but irritating on her skin too. I’m fed up with having to try and avoid afternoon outdoor play just because of mosquitos, I’d love to try these new products!

  16. I react really badly to mozzie bites and always get attacked! I’d love to try the bands as I absolutely hate bug sprays!

  17. Marauding Mossies mess with our love of outdoor life… not just bites but itchy, scratchy reactions. MOZZIGEAR products would be marvellous to ward off local mossie attacks when those insects potentially carry dastardly Dengue and Ross River fever strains.

  18. If I was to win, and the product was effective. it would sell itself from home to the work yard and on many job sites. ever considered making the bands as anklets, there is nothing worse then mossie bites on your feet

  19. Being a mother of an 8 month old and expecting our second in September, the mosquito patches would be amazing! My poor bubba gets eaten alive some evenings and it’s really difficult to find a product that works that is safe for babes. Definitely purchasing bulk of these!

  20. With one daughter allergic to Mozzies, anything that takes the edge off the hold it has on her would be fantastic

  21. I would love to try the Mozziegear Portable Ultrasonic Repeller as it doesn’t come into direct contact with your skin and is odorless, very practical for those of us with sensitive skin and suffer with asthma or hayfever.

  22. Mossies LOVE me! The feeling is NOT reciprocated! On our annual family trip to Renmark last year, we stop counting after 100 mossie bites on my body! So I would like to try the Mozzigear Portable Ultrasonic Repeller… And when it works, with the amount of people we go to Renmark with (last year there were 50 people in our group) it would be sold many times!

  23. I would really love to put the bands to the test,my hubby and son love to go fishing but don’t love the mozzies. And what about the animals that have to sleep outside and get flees from them,I would have to say the Mossiegear portable Ultasonic would solve so many problems,My family suffers from skin conditions how wonderful are these products,About Time, something to help them to.Thankyou Mossiegear .

  27. I would love these small and cute little mozziegear items,I live near a lake and I think its their mega home.
so when I have a BBQ I don’t want to stink of mozzie repellant and choke on it, I would rather smell of perfume and not get bitten and injoy my food without the taste of mozzie repellant.

  28. Would love to try these as my daughter comes out in big welts when she is bitten

  29. The Mozzigear mosquito patch would be perfect for my two year old. She’s always getting bitten and the roll on doesn’t seem effective and the spray I have was too strong..

  30. With sensitive skin in the family we are scratching all summer long from mozzies and sand flies tearing our skin apart.I would love to try your product on my young family and finally get some relief, finally.

  31. The Mosquito Band, I want to wear something that is protecting me and Im unaware of it on my wrist at the same time

  32. What a great idea, and a vast selection of Mozzie products. I would love to win any of them, but I think the wipes are so handy and convenient. I would have one pack in the car, one in the caravan, and one at home in the bathroom cabinet.

  33. The Mozzies around here need a landing strip.. they are huge!
Would love to get back into the great outdoors with the kids without the fear of being eaten alive!!
I’m loving the Mosquito Click, & I know for a fact it works wonderfully, as I used it when I visited the Mayan ruins in Guatemalan Jungle in South America, Leaving it with my tour guide who had many more adventures in mozzie- infested jungles ahead of them 🙂
