While many mums are counting down the day until school goes back I am secretly wishing the holidays would last a little longer. Of course the kids do drive me a tad crazy some days, but the thought of sending my precious little Sybbie off to big school is making me feel quite sad and a bit nervous too. She herself is thankfully very excited and can’t wait to be a big school girl, dressed in a proper uniform and carrying all her carefully selected school gear.
If your little students are off to school soon you’ll be sure to get them in the right mood with a trip to Smiggle, the home of all things cool for school. Filled with funky finds, unique goodies and awesome gadgets Smiggle will get the thumbs up from street smart boys and girls of all ages. Here’s what this year’s girl squad will be lining up for:
Who said pencil cases should only be functional? Young fashionistas will love this brightly coloured Smiggle Squad Dolly Hardtop Pencil Case (RRP $24.95), dolly does an excellent job looking after all your stationery must haves and at the same time she also makes a willing guinea pig for the trendiest hairstyles. Ponytails, plaits and fishtail braids, future hairdressers can create to their heart’s content.
Swim week is always the highlight of term 1 for our kids and Sybil is ready to make her first school splash with the handy Smiggle Squad Drawstring Bag (RRP $17.95), a convenient wipe-clean bag that’s perfect for sweaty sports gear, wet swim clothes or library books. It’s lightweight and compact so you can easily tuck it away when not in use. Which of the three squad girls is your top pick? Don’t worry, there are two boys designs to choose from too.
If you want to add a pop of colour to a boring homework assignment these Smiggle Scented Bon Bon Micro Highlighter Pens (RRP $12.95, 10-pack) are exactly what you need. Not only are they dual ended, giving you 20 ways to brighten your day, they are also scented! I wonder if you’ll get extra points from your teacher if she smells her favourite fragrance when doing the marking?
