EK Books

Doing the right thing (especially if it means putting yourself last) is not always easy, not for adults and definitely not for children who are still learning. If you are looking for creative ways to teach your children about right and wrong, you’ll find this gorgeous picture book by EK Books is a wonderful conversation starter:

In Finn and Puss (RRP $19.99) we meet a lovely boy called Finn, who was feeling a little lonely until he bumped into Puss. Finn and Puss get along fabulously and Finn adores his new friend, but then he spots a ‘Lost Pet’ poster and faces a dilemma: Should he say goodbye to Puss and return him to his proper home? Or hold on to his new-found buddy even if it is wrong and makes someone else very sad? Doing the right thing can be really tough…

Using colourful, inviting illustrations and short, simple sentences Finn and Puss is a fun, easy-to-read book for young children to listen to and for early readers to read by themselves. The best part is, the important message it teaches will last long after you’ve turned over the final page!

You can find ‘Finn and Puss’ in leading book stores across Australia.

  1. That I can have the worst day possible but Minka, my cat jumps up onto my lap and makes all my troubles go away.

  2. Smoky is very shy but always appears when he hears my voice. He sleeps with me most nights, sometimes on top of me even if I am laying on my side. He keeps me warm in Winter but I don’t desire his body heat in Summer. He gets grumpy when I gently move him off the top of me.
