Penguin Australia

As some of you will know our little Sybbie is not a big talker so recently we visited a lovely speech therapist for some insight and helpful tips on how to encourage her speech. We’ve learnt lots of new tactics already and one of them is fewer words and repetition to make her familiar with certain sounds. This gorgeous children’s picture book is a big favourite at the moment and ticks those learning boxes in a fun way:

I'm a Hungry Dinosaur

I’m a Hungry Dinosaur is a large, hard-cover picture book (22-pages) for young children about a happy little dinosaur who loves to get messy in the kitchen. Each page features a cute dinosaur illustration and 1-2 simple sentences that flow in a rhyming fashion making it fun to read and to listen to.

To encourage children to read and/or talk along certain words are repeated in big, bold writing and this is just what helps miss Sybbie practise the different sounds, we love it! ‘I’m a Hungry Dinosaur’ is an ideal bite-size read before bedtime (no pun intended).
