It feels like I have been waiting for this moment forever and now it’s finally time, time to share the exciting news of our baby’s arrival. On Sunday February 17th 2013 (the anniversary of our ‘church wedding’) we welcomed a beautiful, healthy little girl into our family. Now I’ll be honest, I was absolutely convinced we would have a boy so I was rather shocked to find out it was a girl. Not that it matters of course as we would have been thrilled either way, but it did mean we had to decide on a girls name…
After a few hours of tossing up between our two favourites we decided to call our littlest lady Sybil Marit. A classic name that is not being used much these days but we just love it and it goes well with the names of our other girls too. Sybil was born one day before her due date and weighed 3.4kg, our heaviest baby to date. At 51.5cm tall she is also our tallest baby, I think she is going to look just like daddy.
After a restless night at the hospital we brought baby Sybil home today, that’s soon I know but I couldn’t wait to be home with the other three as I really missed them. They are over the moon with their new sibling and master 4 got over the gender disappointment quite quickly. Doesn’t she look tiny in the Safe-n-Sound Unity Infant Carrier? I am glad the seat is very well padded so our precious bundle is well protected. This great car seat lasts until she is (approximately) 12 months old so I don’t have to worry about her growing out of it too quickly.
Please be patient the upcoming weeks as we settle into life as a family of six. I will aim to get back to urgent emails and messages as soon as possible but as you can imagine it might take me a little longer than usual.
