From Tuesday 16 December to Sunday 21 December 2014 guests of all ages can enjoy this magical and enchanting ballet at Glen Street Theatre, Belrose, it’s a heartwarming performance not to be missed:
Told in two acts of 45 minutes each, The Nutcracker follows the story of the beautiful Clara who is given a Nutcracker doll by her uncle for Christmas. When she falls asleep on Christmas Eve she dreams her Nutcracker has to fight the Evil Rat King and his army of mice, before transforming into a handsome prince and whisking her away to the land of the beautiful sweets. On the magical journey Clara encounters dancing snowflakes, chefs, cheeky clowns, Russian acrobats and the beautiful Sugar Plum Fairy, before waking up on Christmas morning wondering if it was all a dream. Come and be enchanted by this magical Christmas tale!
The Nutcracker will be presented under the direction of Mrs Tanya Pearson OAM and Lucinda Dunn OAM, who will step into the role of Artistic Director of the Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy and the Sydney City Youth Ballet in January 2015.
