It may have felt like this school term would never end, but tomorrow our school holidays finally kick off. We are looking forward to two weeks of chilling out and calming down at home and hopefully some time for this pregnant mama to put her tired feet up. The woodshed is stacked to the brim (I love a warm, cosy fire!) and we have stocked up at the library with books for our little bookworms. Of course it won’t be school holidays without a new movie to relax with so this latest Sony Pictures release comes right on time:

Did you know it has been almost 60 years since the world was first introduced to the quirky blue creatures called The Smurfs? People of all ages love following this interesting tribe on their many adventures, chased by the wizard Gargamel, his cat Azrael and a bunch of other evil characters. This Winter the Smurfs are back for a brand new expedition that will have fans sitting on the edge of their seat:

In Smurfs: The Lost Village a mysterious map sends Smurfette and her best friends Brainy, Clumsy and Hefty on an exciting and thrilling race through a Forbidden Forest filled with magical creatures to find a long lost village. Will they find it before Gargamel does? Embarking on a roller-coaster journey full of action and danger, the Smurfs are on a course that leads to the discovery of the biggest secret in Smurf history!

‘Smurfs: The Lost Village’ is now available on Blu-ray (RRP $44.95) and DVD (RRP $39.95) at all good retail stores across Australia.
