A little while ago my little miss 4 discovered the fairytale of Cinderella, she loves reading the storybook and thinks the fairy godmother and glass slipper are just magical. She can never get enough of princesses and beautiful dresses so when I told her there is actually a Cinderella movie too she got very excited. Lucky for us a special Diamond Edition of this Disney classic was released this week and I have secured some copies for you too!

Be home before the clock strikes twelve, the mean stepsisters and horrible stepmother, the pumpkin that turns into a carriage; everyone knows the famous story of Cinderella. Over the years Cinderella has stolen many hearts and my daughter’s name can be added to the big list of fans. Her favourite part was when Cinderella finally got to wear her stunning party dress. Judging by the sparkling eyes of my little lady the movie is even better when you wear a princess dress yourself while watching it.

While maintaining the true magic of the original movie the new Blu-ray release brings you digitally enhanced sound and picture to ensure an even more enjoyable movie experience for young and old. It also brings you a range of fabulous extras like never-before-seen songs and scenes, games and activities for more magical fun in the comfort of your own home.

I love watching the Disney classics and am still amazed by the animations, even though they are simpler than modern releases they are so heartwarming and my kids don’t seem the least put off by the older style movies. Perfect proof that the Disney titles are absolutely timeless and are loved generation after generation.

The Cinderella Diamond Edition is now available on Blu-ray and DVD (RRP $49.95) and DVD (RRP $39.95) at major retailers across Australia.

Also charming, but in a totally different way, is Disney’s Geek Charming, a cool new movie for older kids starring popular young actors like Sarah Hyland (Modern Family) and Matt Prokop (High School Musical 3). This typical American highschool tale complete with lunch room disasters and a prom covers the wise lesson of looking further than the outside and getting to know someone’s real personality. Being popular is not what’s important, being true to yourself is.

Geek Charming is available on DVD ($36.95) at major retailers across Australia.
