Our four kids just love bath time: splashing in the water, filling the bowls, squeezing the ducks, painting with bubbles… You’d think they would be grumpy to get out but they love that part too, as long as I wrap them up like a ‘sausage in a jacket’. At aden + anais they know how much little ones enjoy that cosy, comfortable feeling of being scooped up in a soft towel which is why they have released a gorgeous new range of baby bath linen:

Aden + Anais Bath Linen

From teeny tiny newborns to cheeky tots, aden + anais has got them all wrapped up in style with their Baby Bath Wraps, Toddler Towels and Hooded Towel & Washcloth Sets in a range of sweet colours and designs.

Baby Bath WrapStarting at the youngest swimmers the Baby Bath Wrap (RRP $44.95) makes it super easy to cover that slippery bundle after the bath. Made from plush terry and finished with a soft muslin cotton hood and easy-to-use tie the Baby Bath Wrap is gentle against your baby’s delicate skin and keeps cold chills at bay. There are currently five different boy, girl and gender neutral designs to choose from.

Hooded Towel SetPacked in a neat aden + anais gift box the 2-piece Hooded Towel & Washcloth Set (RRP $44.95, available in Water Baby White, Rock Star Blue and Bathing Beauty Pink) makes a perfect present for a special little person. We use aden + anais washcloths all the time and they are fantastic, I love how the muslin cotton fabric gets softer the more you wash it (no one likes cleaning their face with a rough, hard face washer!).

Toddler TowelYour baby will get bigger and outgrow the hood but they’re never too old for a snuggly warm towel after your bath, if only they made the Toddler Towel (RRP $37.95) in my size! These large towels are ideal for growing toddlers, they are available in aden + anais’ familiar prints Princess Posie, Jungle Jam and Twinkle as well as the cool new Fluro Pink and Fluro Blue star design which will no doubt get the thumbs up from little trendsetters.

Jack & Evelyn

When the thermometer reads 37ºC in mid October you know it’s time to dig up the bathers and shake out the towels, swimming season has begun! Unlike myself, who would love to just lay on the beach and read a good book, the kids are always busy: swimming, building sand castles, playing catch, kicking balls, flying kites, searching for shells and more. So how do you keep kids dry and toasty while they play?

Jack & Evelyn Navy Poncho Towel

Designed right here in Australia by a lovely mum-of-two Jack & Evelyn is home to a growing range of stylish, practical, high quality products for your family. Being a mother herself owner Melissa knows exactly what parents want, need and look for when searching for the right product so she’s made sure her designs tick all the boxes. In time for Summer the first Jack & Evelyn product has just been released, check out the fabulous Jack & Evelyn Poncho Towel:

Poncho Towel RedUnlike many other children’s towels on the market Jack & Evelyn Poncho Towels (RRP $35) are made from the highest quality 100% cotton terry toweling so they are super soft, lovely and thick and very absorbent. The simple over-the-head design makes these beautiful towels very easy and quick to put on and take off, even toddlers can do it! To keep the poncho in place when your little water lover is on the go it is fitted with press studs under the arms and around the neck.

Poncho Towel PinkJack & Evelyn Poncho Towels come in one size only to fit ages 2-8 and are currently available in four different colours to suit boys and girls, which one is your favourite? The poncho towels are plain with a contrasting trim so they are timeless and a great choice for all ages, so much more appealing than all the licensed gear around. Whether you’re on the beach, at the pool or playing with water in the garden, Jack & Evelyn has got you covered.

Until November 30, 2014, all orders ship free Australia wide, don’t miss out and stock up for Christmas!

When I look at the rainy weather outside I find it hard to believe that one week ago I was trying to quickly find myself a pair of bathers so we could go for a refreshing swim whilst visiting Melbourne. Today it is pouring but the kids can’t stop talking about the beach, pools and slippery water slides. They can’t wait until Summer arrives in all its glory and they can hop in our inflatable kiddy pool whenever they want. As much as kids would like to stay in the water all day they will have to come out as some stage which is where Terry Rich comes in.

Australian label Terry Rich adds a serious touch of style to the beach and poolside with a beautiful range of towels, beach robes, cover-ups and pool jackets for children (ages 1 – 12) and women. For the past 10 years Terry Rich has been delivering high quality products that are made to last and impress with bold, colourful designs, without losing track of functionality and practicality.

The current Terry Rich kids range features a large selection of hooded beach robes with stripes in all the colours of the rainbow. The beach robes are available with or without sleeves and come in sizes 2, 4 and 6. The luxurious, soft robes will keep your little ones warm and dry whilst out of the water and are a breeze to put on thanks to the front zip. The pocket will help bring cold hands to the right temperature or can hold some coins for a yummy icecream.

This Summer Beach Robe ($69.90) looks almost good enough to eat sporting bright, summery colours any child will love. Our oldest daughter is a little water rat but I have no doubt she will jump out of the pool for this one, her passion for beautiful clothes wins it from her love for water any day. In fact, if I let her she would proudly wear this beach robe anywhere she goes, even to bed.

Some parents say they don’t have time to sift through the many products available in stores to find the ones that are eco-friendly and I understand that. Luckily eco-conscious baby and children’s stores are getting more popular so it is definitely getting easier but what about products that are not child-related? The lovely Cherie decided to take her ‘green’ store one step further and has filled Passionfroot with a fabulous range of sustainable and ethical products, not just for kids but also for your home and garden, your body and even jewellery, gifts and stationary.

Most mums will check out the children section first (we are just programmed that way) and the hooded Cuddledry towels are just gorgeous, especially the Cuddlemoo toddler design. The Cuddledry range is made with organic cotton and natural bamboo fibres so these towels don’t just look fabulous, they are safe and super soft too. If your kids hate getting out of the shower/bath these cheeky towels might win them over, because which child does not like dressing up like a cow or ladybug?

Within the Cuddledry range there are 3 baby styles ($59.95, white, blue and pink) and two toddler designs ($79.95, cow and ladybug) available. The generous sizing of the towels will keep the cold shivers at bay and ensures longer wear. Bamboo fabric is known to be quick to absorb moisture so baby will be dry in no time, great for impatient kids who can’t go wait to get back to play after their bath.

I have a soft spot for beautiful stationary and Passionfroot has got plenty of that on offer. I try to keep a generous supply of greeting cards, gift cards and wrapping paper on hand so that I am prepared for any occasion. These Australian made gift tags are a lovely way to add a short message to a present, each pack of 10 tags ($10) contains 5 different designs and the cards are printed on 100% post consumer recycled paper.

Yesterday we spent the day in the garden and at the garden centre, getting ready to start our own vegetable patch. In the shop the twins ‘illegally’ removed some of the paper name tags of plants while I wasn’t looking. Not that those cards last long in the garden anyway, these terribly stylish Ceramic Garden Labels ($5.95) are a much more durable and better looking alternative. Surely that takes the boring out of herb gardens!

To find out more about Passionfroot, to browse the extensive range of green products and to order online visit www.passionfroot.com.au. Shipping for Australian orders is at a flat rate of $9, orders over $100 ship free.
