Globber

I’m sure you’ve worked out by now that for our family August a pretty big month. Not only do we celebrate four birthdays (with Hattie quickly following in September) and have a big holiday ahead of us but it is also the month I started Hip Little One so that’s another ‘birthday’ coming up. After a long countdown Juliet is finally six and working hard on mastering her new 2-wheel Globber scooter:

Globber 1

Designed for ages 6+ the Globber MyTOO Fix Up (RRP $140) is the perfect challenge for this little lady at six going on sixteen. I love seeing the concentration on her face when she is trying something new, determined to work things out and reach her goal.

MyTOO Fix Up greenThe cool look of the MyTOO Fix Up is not just fashionable but functional too, the ergonomic design with its funky curves and the high density non-slip EVA foam deck offer a luxurious and safe riding experience for growing feet that can still be a bit wobbly from time to time. This makes the MyTOO Fix Up my personal favourite in the Globber range, it looks and feels absolutely fabulous.

Thoroughly safety tested and made from high quality materials that are strong and sturdy the MyTOO Fix Up gets the thumbs up from both parents and children, parents love the durability and amazing value for many money while young riders enjoy the super smooth ride and sense of security they get from the solid construction. Even though Juliet has only just upgraded from three to two wheels I can see she feels confident on the deck.

Globber 2

Because little girls grow faster than you can keep up with this clever Globber scooter has a height adjustable handlebar. MyTOO Fix Up riders should have a minimum height of 1.10m and as your child grows the handlebar can be adjusted with three height levels to choose from. The brightly coloured handlebar grips are made from durable, dual-injection material, this makes them secure (no slipping) and comfortable for small hands to hold.

Globber 3

The MyTOO Fix Up has a maximum weight limit of 100kg so even hip mamas can have a sneaky try when the kids are having a break. This generous flexibility in the height and weight department makes this trendy scooter an excellent pick for families who want to invest in a product that their kids won’t grow out of after just one season.

Globber

There is no surprise our kids love more than an unexpected day off with Hip Daddy, especially if it involves going out for an outdoor adventure. Yesterday was a beautiful sunny winter’s day so we bundled all the kids into the car, packed their scooters and helmets and enjoyed a lovely ride along the river. The kids (and I) had so much fun that they didn’t really want to leave, I think we can safely say we’ll be back for another roll in no-time!

Globber MyToo 12.5

As the twins have really shot up this last year (Can you believe they are turning 8 next month?) we recently upgraded their scooters to a bigger, better design to suit their growing bodies perfectly: the MyTOO 12.5 by Globber.

Globber Olivia

The Globber MyTOO 12.5 (RRP $170, ages 8+) is a seriously stylish, sturdy scooter designed for riders up to 100kg and with a minimum height of 1.30m. Created from durable, high quality materials with an aircraft ALU technical deck and ultra reinforced front structure this new Globber ride is made to last. Globber clearly understands how adventurous kids can be at times so they’ve created a scooter that is safe, strong and suitable for an intensive, active lifestyle.

Globber Tommie

The 125mm wheels in transparent HQ and High Rebound PU with nylon cores and high quality bearings ensure a super smooth ride at all times, one light push and you’re off! Olivia generally prefers to play it safe, so it was great to see the deck was wide enough for her to feel confident and the steering and back brake easy so she felt safe and in control.

Globber Olivia 2

Thanks to the height-adjustable handlebars and generous weight limit the MyTOO 12.5 is a fantastic investment that will grow with your child. It was immediately clear that this Globber scooter is very well constructed and built to last the distance, it’s most definitely not a cheap or flimsy ride. I can see many enjoyable scooter rides in our future, bring on the weekend so we can test out the next track.

Globber Booth

While the scooters are a definite upgrade in size and height they thankfully don’t take up more room in storage or transport. The foldable design is ideal for a family car with limited booth space and even the handlebars can be folded in. The MyTOO 12.5 is also surprisingly lightweight so the kids can easily lift and carry it themselves when needed, for example to cross grass or gravel.

When I grew up we were always playing outside and we loved it. Marking the streets with chalk, climbing trees, swinging on the swing, playing soccer, the hula hoop, skipping with a rope and of course riding a scooter. Our old kick scooter was bright red and even had a padded seat to sit on, at the time we thought it was awesome. But scooters have changed a bit since then and I have been told a Razor scooter is the hip new ride kids are going for.

The Razor label is well known all around the world and has been designing scooters for more than 10 years. They have taken the childish out of scooters by creating a range of scooters to suit everyone from young to old, amateur to professional and small to big budgets. With 20+ different designs and counting Razor is the top name in scooters and as Australian children love spending time outside it is no surprise that many will be adding a Razor scooter to their Christmas wish list this year. In a society where children spend way too much time in front of the tv or game console a Razor scooter encourages children to get outside and get moving so this is fantastic gift idea.

The award winning Razor A Kick Scooter ($69.99, ages 5+) is a 2-wheel scooter with a stylish alloy design, tough build and foldable frame, available in 5 different colours. The aircraft-grade aluminium deck and t-tube are of the highest quality so parents can be confident they are make a safe choice and get value for money. The lightweight Razor A Kick Scooter weighs just 2.7kg so it is easy to carry around and travel with (if you are not riding it that is). This scooter can hold up to 65kg in weight and the handle bars are adjustable so the A Kick Scooter will grow with your child for years to come.

In a way I am glad my little ones are a bit too young to cruise our neighbourhood by scooter, but when they are old enough to give it a shot I will make sure they don’t go out without a helmet and elbow and knee protection. At Razor they understand how important safety is so the Razor website holds a lot of valuable information for kids and parents about how, when and where to use the Razor scooters (safely), as well as a bunch of cool tips and tricks to make the most out of your new scooter.
