And that was the end of my December shopping, everything on my list is ticked off. I’m pretty chuffed I am all organised, just the wrapping left to do and I can pack everything in the big sacks ready to be opened by my excited little bunch. As you may know we do the gift giving with Sinterklaas (on December 5th) instead of Christmas so I have to be ready earlier than other families. On Saturday I picked up the last five missing pieces at my local Target store and I even found a little something for hip daddy and myself (not the plan!):

Despicable Me 2Probably the most exciting (and most anticipated) gift was a copy of Despicable Me 2 on Blu-ray ($25). We watched this movie at the cinema a few months ago and the whole family loved it and thought it was so funny. Now we are not usually the kind of people who run to the store the minute a new movie comes out but this time we had been counting down, it’s a perfect gift for all of us to enjoy together.

Nice bonus: The Blu-ray disc comes with a special ‘Ultraviolet’ voucher which enables you to download the movie to your iPad, iPhone etc. You can put the movie on up to five devices, really handy for road trips these Christmas holidays.

LeapFrog Tag Dora Goes To SchoolLike most families we worked out a December budget and my intention was to stick to gifts under $30 which was surprisingly easy. For the kids I scooped up two reduced LeapFrog Tag books to keep them entertained in the car: LeapFrog Tag Story Activity Book Dora Goes to School ($15) and LeapFrog Tag Story Activity Book Cras 2 Project Undercover ($10). The Dora title covers the alphabet, numbers and a bit of Spanish and Cars teaches about different countries, at such low prices I couldn’t resist.

We don’t usually buy presents for the adults of the family (in an attempt to keep the costs down) but as we were walking through Target I spotted a lovely stripey tee on a mannequin and when I realised it was only $19 I decided hubby could do with a little something too. These colours are perfect for him and I think he’ll really like it, I better wrap it before he finds it!

It’s a technique that works a treat on kids but Target knows how to catch the eye of a woman on her way to the checkout too. I didn’t plan on buying anything for myself until I caught the faint smell of something sweet and delicious. I followed my nose to find some beautiful Planet Earth gift packs stacked in the middle of the aisle. These huge (reusable) gift boxes look lovely and are filled with 12 full size bath and body products that look very inviting and luxurious.

All products are completely free from parabens, mineral oils, PEGS, SLES and artificial colours so there are no nasties to worry about. Sweet detail: The Planet Earth gift basket even comes complete with gift tag ready to be gifted, how handy is that? Normally this pamper pack would cost $50 (great value for so many goodies) but it’s currently on sale for just $25, such a bargain.

To help you score some fabulous Christmas gifts under $30 too we are giving away 2 $30 Target gift cards, get your entries in below.
