For many families it has become a Christmas tradition to gift each child a new pair of pyjamas and/or underwear, a more practical addition to the large mountain of toys they usually receive. Now for adults this may sound like a great idea but for children pyjamas can be a little boring, unless of course you wrap up one of these gorgeous new Bluebelle designs from Sustainababy:

Bluebelle Bo Peep nighties ($29.95 each)

Bluebelle Bo Peep nighties ($29.95 each)

The sweet Bo Peep nighties most definitely take the plain and boring out of sleepwear. It is almost a waste of such an adorable garment to only wear it at bedtime, you might have to plan a pyjama day here or there so your little lady can show off her new nightie in all its glory. The Bo Peep nighties are available in sizes 2 to 7 and cost $29.95 each.

Bluebelle Audrey underwear sets ($24.95 each)

The lovely 2-piece Audrey underwear sets ($24.95) are sure to delight little girls, after all who wouldn’t love to wear these cute ruffles and frills in stylish pink and red colours? I know my miss 4 would be over the moon. These soft and comfortable underwear sets are made using organically grown bamboo cotton and they are available in sizes 2 to 7.

When looking at the top of your child’s Christmas wishlist you will most likely only see toys (and possibly a pet here or there) but most (grand)parents like to include some practical gifts too. A cool lunchbox for school, some clothes and new pyjamas are big favourites every year so make sure you add them to your shopping list for the upcoming weeks. For classic, durable, Australian designed sleepwear take a look at the latest collection by Four in the Bed:

Charlotte nightie

If your daughter is anything like my little girl who loves everything pretty and girly, she will be thrilled to find the gorgeous Charlotte nightie ($39.95) under the Christmas tree. This 100% cotton nightie features a lovely light blue stripe, button detail at the front and a beautiful broderie hem. Even though longer in length this nightie is lovely and cool.  I think the blue is very cute but if your little lady prefers white or pink there are some very cute girls nighties in other colours/styles available too.

For the boys there is also plenty of choice this summer. Those who prefer a traditional look will appreciate the stylish Classic PJ Set: a short sleeve button-up shirt and matching shorts, with choice of three timeless prints. My favourite is the Charlie Blue Check ($44.95), but if your son is crazy about ‘things that go’ he might be more excited about the bike or plane themed set instead.

A bit more casual and most definitely a bit hit with the boys are the Freddy Blue Ute and Freddy Red Tractor pyjama sets ($39.95). You can’t go wrong with a comfy pair of striped shorts teamed up with a ute or tractor t-shirt! All Four in the Bed designs are available in sizes 2 to 12, and owner and designer Ellie recently told us that the size range will go up to size 14 next year. It is obvious that kids of all ages love Four in the Bed!

Easter is often a cue for the weather to take a colder turn, which is why a new pair of winter PJ’s is always a popular Easter gift. If you are looking for beautiful Australian designed sleepwear that is classic, enchanting, a little bit nostalgic and of course super comfortable you can’t go past Four in the Bed.

At the latest trade shows Four in the Bed was a big hit, with retailers and mums from all over the country loving this fabulous Australian label. Four in the Bed was created by mum Ellie, who struggled to find high quality sleepwear that looked great and was durable enough to be handed down. The gorgeous new Winter range features timeless gingham prints and petite florals, PJ sets, nighties and super cuddly robes for boys and girls aged 2 to 10.

I love the classic look of Four in the Bed, truly decent and proper sleepwear that looks as if it comes straight out of an enchanting picture book. I can just picture Goldilocks stepping around in a Four in the Bed nightie. My favourite design is the Miranda PJ set ($39.95), the combination of sweet florals and cute polka dots is just lovely and the little details add a beautiful finish to a high quality product.

As sleepwear is worn directly onto the skin it is more important than ever to choose natural materials that are soft, comfortable and breathable, synthetic fibres on the other hand can be itchy and sweaty which can interfere with your child’s sleep. Four in the Bed garments are generally of made of 100% cotton and comply with Australian Safety Standards for sleepwear.

At the start of the colder season Four in the Bed is setting one lucky boy or girl up with a cosy warm Four in the Bed Winter prize pack valued at $89.90. Our lucky winner gets to pick either a girls pack, containing a pair of Georgia Petite Floral Brushed Cotton PJ’s and Girls Super Soft Fleecy Robe or a boys pack, containing a pair of Max Stone Gingham PJ’s and a Boys Super Soft Fleecy Robe. Bring on the cold nights I’d say!

Before I became a mum to my twins 3 years ago I was the store manager of a beautiful children’s store, I absolutely loved my job and still miss it all the time. Of course Christmas time was very busy for the store but although it was hard work it was so much fun. All these little people that needed clothes for Christmas and many grandparents coming in to buy the most gorgeous gifts. Year after year one of the top Christmas gifts (if not THE top gift) was a new pair of pyjama’s. If you are looking for some beautiful pyjama’s to put under the tree this year check out Rube & Harri.

Australian label Rube & Harri designs stunning children’s sleepwear for boys and girls aged 2 to 7. Owner and mother-of-three Angela has created a beautiful new spring/summer range combining unique prints with classic, traditional cuts and high quality materials. Angela knows we are all busy and don’t have time to go shopping, so her online store is always open and at the moment you don’t even have to pay for shipping (Australia only, offer ends Dec 15).

With warm summer weather on the horizon you will really appreciate the Rube & Harri fabric choice, the 100% cotton pyjama’s will keep your child cool and are lightweight and breathable. If you think there is nothing cuter than a little girl in nightie try adding a Rube & Harri nightie, how gorgeous is this Girls Crimson Spot Nightie ($44.95)? Each pyjama (nightie or set) comes in a transparant gift bag, perfect for the gift giving season.

For the boys there is choice from three different styles in classic blue and red tones, combining a plain top with printed shorts. Rube & Harri has been very careful to select timeless styles and prints that are suitable for all ages, you really can’t go wrong.
