Big Baby Shower – Day 18

After four children I have come to accept that you can’t keep every little baby item, even if you know you may add to the family later on. Obviously I have kept my fair shares of sentimental pieces (possibly more than needed) but I have had to say goodbye to some bits too. One thing most parent (including myself) seem to hold on to for eternity is their baby’s first pair of shoes, I bet my parents still have my first shoes too! If you’re looking for a special pair for your new arrival look no further than Tiptoe & Co:

This funny weather is really keeping me on my toes. Some days we’re out in shorts and sandals, the next day we’re rugged up with cardigans and boots. Just like mummy my girls love a nice pair of boots, especially when they are teamed up with leggings or tights and a gorgeous dress. Our little Sybbie has just acquired her first pair of big girl boots and (we think) she just looks too cute:

These pretty Minnie Boots (RRP $38.95, size 4-10) by Caroch were one of Tiptoe & Co’s topsellers last year, so they’re back for another Winter in a sweet pink, vibrant red and exclusive chocolate brown colour.

There is so much to love about the Minnie Boots: They are made from super soft cow leather and finished with fur lining to keep tiny toes toasty warm during the cold season, it’s like wearing slippers. The rubber sole is strong, durable and prevents slipping to help wobbly little legs from tumbling while the velcro closure makes it super easy to put them on and take them off, even for small hands who are still learning.

As a fun extra the Minnie boots are fitted with a little squeaker, which can easily be removed if desired. Miss 2 was absolutely delighted by this musical feature but as a mum of four I already feel quite the circus when going out so we’ve put the squeaker away for now.

Isn’t it amazing how a few short weeks can make a huge difference in a child’s development? I feel like we left Australia with a baby, only to return with a cheeky toddler 5 weeks later. Our snuggly baby who loved being carried has been swapped for an adventurous little girl who runs everywhere. While she loves walking around barefoot it is simply not always clean or safe so we’ve fitted her small chubby feet with some sweet new shoes from Tiptoe & Co:

Made with soft cow leather upper and pig leather lining they are breathable and comfortable for her growing feet.

The velcro strap makes them very easy to put on and off and, to my surprise, miss Sybbie happily leaves them on most of the time so that’s a big win. Another great feature of Freycoo infant shoes is the sole, it’s flexible enough for new and early walkers but also strong enough to be worn outside unlike many other baby shoes. The sole is fitted with two rubber anti-slip patches to provide extra grip for those wobbly legs.

Although the weather outside is far from warm and sunny we are hopeful Spring will soon arrive and miss 4 can put on these adorable Eva Toddler Sandals ($32.95) from well known label Little Blue Lamb.
