JJ Cole Collections

Welcome Baby Giveaway – Day 10

Of course we could not possibly run a Welcome Baby Giveaway without adding a stylish nappy bag to the massive prize pool, after all every new mum needs something to carry to around all those adorable baby goodies in. I think this brand new JJ Cole Collections number totally fits the bill and it’s perfect for parents of beautiful Spring babies:

The tote-style Camber Baby Bag (RRP $89.95) is the ideal pick for trendy mamas on the go who want a convenient, spacious bag that is both pretty and practical.

Camber Citrus BreezeAvailable in a range of gorgeous prints and colours the Camber will be your go-to bag this season, just toss in your must-haves and head out for a wonderful day outside with your precious bundle(s). Wear it over your shoulder with the padded shoulder strap, go traditional and carry it by the two tote straps or enjoy hands-free and clip your Camber to your pram using the free no-slip Grips attachments.

Camber Black GoldLike a real tote should the Camber offers plenty of storage space, both inside and out. One of my favourite features is the large outside pocket, away from nappy creams and baby food it’s the perfect slot for a book or even your iPad. The handy bottle pockets on either end allow for easy access to a much needed drink while the two zip pockets keep car keys, your phone, a dummy or your lip gloss within hand’s reach. As a sweet bonus you’ll find a cute matching change mat inside to make surprise nappy changes as easy and hygienic as possible.

JJ Cole Collections

Nappies and wipes, spare clothes and a blanket, bottles and food… individually all these baby bag essentials don’t weigh much but it all adds up. The result is a nappy bag heavy enough to hurt your back, not exactly something any new mum is looking forward to!

Linden Blue Iris

JJ Cole Collections loves making life easier and more stylish for busy parents and now they are making it a little lighter too. Weighing in at less than 500 grams the brand-new ‘Linden’ nappy bag would have to be classed as one of the lightest baby bags around.

Linden Blue Iris OpenThe ‘Linden’ baby bag (RRP $89.95) may be ultra light in weight but there is definitely nothing small about its storage capacity, it’s surprisingly roomy with plenty of handy pockets on the inside and outside to keep your bag contents organised. The zip opens open all the way giving you a clear and instant view of what’s inside. As always this JJ Cole Collections bag comes with a stack of handy bonuses like free grips™ stroller attachments, a padded shoulder strap and coordinating wipeable changing pad.

Linden HeatheredFeaturing a convenient, easy-to-clean laminated canvas outer (all designs except for the Heathered) the Linden bag is the ultimate practical bag for modern parents on-the-go, no more worrying about dirty marks and sticky fingers! Personally I love all the gorgeous fresh spring prints, particularly the pretty Blue Iris, but in case you are looking for a neutral, dad-friendly look you can’t go past the classic grey Heathered design.

JJ Cole Collections nappy bags and changing clutches are available at Baby Bunting and Toys’R’Us stores across Australia.

Out'n'About

When it comes to pram shopping it is generally the mothers who have first say, after all they tend to do most of the pram walks so it is important that they feel happy with their baby’s ride. Unfortunately what’s right for mum is not always comfortable for dad, especially when you differ a lot in size like hip daddy and I who are 30cm apart.

Out'n'About Nipper

A few weeks ago I had a hospital appointment so my lovely hubby took the two littlest girls out for a walk in the city. The Out’n’About Nipper V4 has an adjustable handle that can sit high for tall dads and nice and low for petite mamas, to adjust it you simply push the buttons on either side of the handle bar. We change the handle height all the time when we’re out depending on who is pushing, easy as pie!

Out'n'About Nipper V4

Hubby has been a big fan of the Nipper since we first got ours, he just loves the sporty look and all terrain design. During our European holiday he did a lot of the walking with it without ending up with back pain which is very rare for him!

Out'n'About Nipper Single

The Nipper V4 is light to push even with older children in it, easy to lift (just 9.8kg), small to fold and sturdy to drive on bumpy roads. When we go out for the day and the boot of the car is packed (it usually is, 6 people need a lot of stuff) you can take off the wheels in a flash for an even more compact fold.

Out'n'About Nipper Mojito

As our daughter gets older and cheekier she does sometimes pull/push on the hood so I love that the hood frame is strong and rigid, it keeps the sun hood nicely in place and prevents it from going all floppy and collapse when you hang a muslin shade on it or even temporarily put a spare jacket on top.

If you want to see some more pictures of the Out’n’About Nipper in action or read up on the specs check out our previous Out’n’About posts here and here.

Mountain Buggy

I am sure most Australian mums have heard of Mountain Buggy, one of the big names when it comes to stylish, durable and high quality prams. In fact my first pram was a Mountain Buggy (Double Urban Elite) which I was extremely happy with and I still miss as it was such a delight to ride around. What you may not know is that there is more to this fantastic brand than just prams and last week the Mountain Buggy family has welcomed the brand new Mountain Buggy Pod to the range.

Mountain Buggy Pod HighchairThe Mountain Buggy Pod is a portable highchair that not only has the looks but is also fitted with lots of clever features just like you’d expect from a Mountain Buggy product. The innovative design of the Pod highchair is perfect for busy parents on the go who don’t want to lug around a bulky highchair. Simply click the Pod onto table tops and benches to create an instant child seat, whether you are inside or outside.

Mountain Buggy Pod RedWeighing in at a teeny 1.0kg (yes ONE kilo) and when folded measuring just 4cm thick the Mountain Buggy Pod would have to be smallest, most compact highchair around. This makes the Pod ideal for traveling, for visits to restaurants, friends and family, to keep at grandma’s house or of course just for at home. A complimentary recyclable carry bag is included for easy transport and storage.

Mountain Buggy PodThe maximum seat load for the Pod highchair is 15kg, to compare: both my 2-year old and 4-year old weigh 15kg. Made from durable wipe-clean fabric and a strong aluminium frame with non-slip grip pads this seat will be enjoyed meal after meal, you can take it with you wherever you go. The Mountain Buggy Pod is priced at just $79 and is available in three colours (black, flint and lime).

Recently one of my lovely readers gave birth to a gorgeous little girl, a beautiful addition to their family of three. Looking at the pictures of this new arrival is making me a bit clucky, compared to her my youngest seems like such a big toddler already! Knowing little miss C. is a breastfed baby I thought her mummy would be the perfect tester for the new breastfeeding coverlets from Pretty Well Covered.

Invented by an Australian mum the Pretty Well Covered breastfeeding coverlets are a stylish, discrete and convenient way to feed your baby in public. Specifically designed for the warmer Australian weather they are lightweight and cool. As they are made of sheer fabric you can see your baby when feeding, the perfect design for mums who are worried about breastfeeding when out and about.

I am not surprised my tester Cindy loves this new Australian product, this is what she had to say:

First impression: The Pretty Well Covered breastfeeding coverlet looks classy and stylish, sheer material looks lovely as does the shape. Great quality and workmanship was good, professional finish to the product. Practicality was good. I never used any covers with my first child but I have found the coverlet to be no more difficult to use (than not use anything at all), and I found it easy to carry around and fit in the nappy bag as it is not bulky. It even came with a little mesh bag for storage.

The material was lovely, sheer and cool. Provided enough coverage to be discreet though still allowing me to see my baby through the material. Due to the material being non-stretchy, it is important to get the correct size to allow plenty of room to move. The size I got was correct for me, though if I were to buy another I might get the next size due to the material not being stretchy, and I personally like things to be roomy.

The Pretty Well Covered breastfeeding coverlets cost $30 per coverlet which I think is fine and I would be happy to purchase a coverlet for that price, it is worth it in material, quality and practicality. My friends commented on how discreet it was even being sheer, and they all thought it was stylish. There are eight designs to choose from so you can choose a print that matches your style or your outfit.
