While I had a wonderful time with my family in The Netherlands, and the surprised look on my parents’ face was worth a million dollars, nothing compared to coming home to my beautiful family again. I missed them so much and it was lovely to still have a few free days to spend together before the start of term 2. On Sunday we explored ‘our’ backyard, a perfect opportunity to take some snaps of their new Cotton On Kids Winter gear and to capture how much they have grown.
Even though Tommie and Olivia are the same age he is clearly the leader of the pack, the tallest in size and generally the one telling everyone else what to do. Sometimes finding a good pair of jeans for him can be really tricky so I am very pleased with the Stan Cuff Jean in Indigo Rise (RRP $39.95, size 1-8), they are an excellent fit and have a handy adjustable waist. The elasticised ankle cuffs look really cool and it stops the hems dragging trough puddles, mud and wet grass, very practical during this messy season.
The jeans are teamed up with the fresh and fruity Marcus Bear Pullover Hoodie in Vitamin Orange (RRP $24.95, size 1-8), perfect for brightening up a dark and dreary day. These great hoodies are available in range of colours and prints and you can pocket a welcome saving if you buy two at a time ($35 per two), I may have to grab some more to get us through the cooler months.
Somehow miss Juliet’s gorgeous curls make everything look heavenly, even this fluffy blue Sarah Jumper (RRP $34.95, size 1-8) looks angelic combined with her golden locks. A Sunday afternoon walk in the woods is probably not your logical occasion to wear a silver tutu but when you’re 4 you can get away with this eye catching look, and how can you say no to a sweet smile like that anyway? Teamed up with the Huggie Tights in Light Grey Marle/White Geo (RRP $12.95, size 1-8).
As a mother of three girls glitter is part of our every day life. Tiaras, star wands, tutus and sparkly jewellery, the more glitter the better and preferably everything at once. This little darling may not have the slim body shape of a real ballerina but there is certainly no lack of passion. The Mimi Cardi (RRP $34.95, size 1-8) is officially her sister’s but she claims it’s the perfect silver match for the Lydia Tulle Skirt (RRP $22.95, size 1-8). Add to that the Kids Primo in Dusk Sparkle (RRP $10, size 1-13), which in our home doubles as the child-friendly glass slipper, and Cinderella is ready for the ball.
At 2 years old our miss Sybbie is a real girl now, she is no longer a baby. How adorable is this belted Joey Long Jumpsuit (RRP $39.95, size 1-8) with golden spots? I wish it came in my size too! The denim is so versatile, I went for a white tee this time but you can easily combine it with different colour tops and shoes. Unlike many other jumpsuits it has a zip closure, making quick toilet breaks a lot easier for active kids.
Our beautiful 6-year old Olivia is sporting the Wednesday Dress (RRP $22.95, size 1-8), we think it looks great on Sundays too. The neutral charcoal colour is easy to mix and match and the glitter stars are very sweet and not too blingy, a perfect compromise for mum and daughter. She wears the dress with a comfortable pair of Huggie Tights in Light Grey Marle (RRP $12.95, size 1-10), these leggings are so handy to have in your wardrobe and go with lots of different outfits. Olivia always feels the cold so she is pretty chuffed with this cute Pom Pom Beanie (RRP $14.95).
By the way, a fantastic collection of kids coats, jackets and puffer vests for both boys and girls has just arrived in all Cotton On Kids stores. Prices range from $36.95 to $54.95, providing parents with trendy but affordable options to suit your family budget. The cool and cosy Zac Duffle Coat (RRP $54.95, size 1-8) is proving to be one of the top sellers this season so if your boy would think this awesome coat is totally rad you better be quick and grab your size before they sell out.
