Having visitors from overseas has proven to be the perfect excuse to (re)discover our own backyard. Skipping the waves at beautiful beaches, splashing about in a blow-up pool in the garden, picking cherries straight from the tree (and eating at least as much) at a cherry farm in the hills… so many lovely memories have been added to our family’s ‘memory box’ these last few weeks. We’re now preparing for the big goodbye and I am expecting a lot of tears, wish us luck!

The sun is shining, the days are getting longer, the weather is (slowly) warming up and we’ve had our first trip to the beach… this can only mean one thing: Summer is on its way! At Havoc Denim they are 100% Summer ready with a bright and cheerful Spring/Summer collection for little trendsetters aged 2-14:

Havoc Denim favourites

Australian designer Linstel has once again done an amazing job translating the latest trends from around the globe into stylish, funky and wearable fashion for cool kids. From awesome jeans in a rainbow of colours to sweet summer dresses and from playful shorts to gorgeous printed tops, Havoc Denim has got the Summer season covered.

Havoc Denim 2015

It’s no secret that you can judge the popularity of a brand by the speed it sells out and Havoc Denim is known to fly off the shelves so grab your favourites while you can or you may miss out. Of course I have my eye on a few pieces for my own little tribe too, starting with the divine floral printed Havoc Denim jeans on a soft green background. We have the floral print jeans from last season too and they fit like a glove, they’re one of miss 6’s most worn pants so I know she would love this pretty summer edition.

Havoc Denim colour

For our cheeky and bubbly miss 4, who adores the colour yellow, I have my heart set on the spotty sunshine Seville Shorts (RRP $44.95). They look really fresh and funky with the paisley print tee and are a fantastic choice for girls who are not too keen on pink or purple. The Seville shorts are available in lovely pink and mint too so they’re a great pick for siblings who want to look similar but not the same.

Havoc Denim Summer 2015

Although she’s only 20 months old little miss Sybbie has very long legs so I am hoping I can get away with a size 2 for this summer. I am particularly keen on the spotty skinny jeans in mint, one of my favourite pastel colours. Last but not least my only boy, he has been wearing his Jamaica Skinny Shorts (RRP $49.95) pretty much the entire holiday so I know the fit is excellent and they are very strong and sturdy, I may have to grab the next size up to last us through the upcoming summer.

After the huge success of Havoc Denim in its home country Australia it was only a matter of time until keen U.S. stores started picking up this trendy Aussie children’s fashion label. I don’t know how she did it but in between travelling to the States and attending some of the biggest trade shows designer Linstel has still found time to work on a new Autumn/Winter collection. As with all popular brands it is always a race between fashion savvy mamas to pick up the hippest designs and there are plenty of styles worth racing for this winter:

Havoc Denim 2014

As the name suggests Havoc Denim is the place to go for awesome denim bottoms and this season brings plenty of eye catching designs. Whether you like classic blue or black denim with funky details, floral in all colours of the rainbow, bright or pastel, shiny and sparkly, plain or patterned, Havoc Denim has got little legs covered this Winter.

Havoc Denim Winter

One of my personal favourites is the Havoc Denim Chloe Jean, pictured here with the totally on trend Havoc Denim Maya Faux Fur Vest. I think the combination of classic, neutral colours and interesting prints and textures looks fantastic and it’s a great look for older girls.

Autumn scarfThe sparkling Kylie Purse is part of the brand new Havoc Denim accessories range, a wonderful selection of bags and scarves designed to complete your stylish Havoc Denim outfit. The Kylie purse is available in gold, silver and pink shimmer and the huggable Autumn Faux Fur Scarf comes in winter white and natural brown (don’t worry, no rabbits were killed in the manufacturing process!).

Havoc Denim Jay HoodieThis season’s must have boys basic is the Havoc Denim Jay Hoodie, a stripey little number that goes with anything in your son’s wardrobe. I love that the striped fabric come back in the lining of the hood, it adds a real ‘finished’ look to a casual top. Sporting timeless grey and either blue or green this is a very versatile piece, it’s the perfect comfortable pick for a chilly Autumn day.

However the real standout for the boys is without a doubt the Havoc Denim Ryder Denim Vest. The blue denim is easy to mix and match and it’s a super simple way to add a layer of warmth (and a touch of cool) to your long sleeve tees. Created with plenty of pockets the vest is ideal for little explorers who like to collect treasures or just to keep cold hands warm.

If you’re afraid to stand out from the crowd now is the time to click away. Australian fashion label Havoc Denim loves to stir things up a little with funky designs, eye catching prints and fresh new colours that pop, created for street wise kids that like to swim upstream and are not afraid to show their individual style.

Havoc Denim Summer

Havoc Denim Spring/Summer 2013

Havoc Denim designer Linstel is always one of the first to spot new trends on the streets of the big fashion capitals and uses them to create a range of kids clothing for hip Aussie kids. Fashion savvy mums will know by now that you have to be quick when new season stock arrives as it sells out in the blink of an eye, this Summer’s neon styles were hugely popular and many stockists sold out in flash. But don’t worry, there is still plenty of colour left in the Havoc Denim Online Store.

Bahamas Spot ShortsSo if you are mum of girls neon is definitely the way to go this season, other trends include florals and polkadots (my favourite). Havoc Denim has got all the hypes covered with ten different styles of jeans, shorts and skirts in a range of stylish colours and prints. The current range caters for ages 2 all the way up to size 14 and if you need a bit of help with your sizes there is a handy size chart available online.

Marseille JeansOur kids have been wearing Havoc Denim for a few years now and the jeans have proven to be extremely hard wearing. Even with all the climbing, running, sliding and jumping they do I am yet to experience a broken zip or hole in the knee, something that can’t be said of many other brands they own. One of my most favourite jeans for this season are the Marseille Skinny Jeans ($59.95, pink and mint), a beautiful fitted style with funky back pockets.

However first prize goes to these Costa Rica Skinny Jeans ($59.95), I bought them to take on our trip to Europe next year but miss 5 couldn’t wait that long and wanted to wear them anyway (even if they’re a bit too big still). The colourful floral print looks amazing and all these pants need is a plain top or singlet, so easy!

The Australian weather never ceases to amaze me. From cold, wet winter weather and warm fireplaces to hot, sunny days that call for shorts and sun screen, we’ve seen it all last week. When I send the kids to kindy I always make sure they wear a (light) jacket so they are prepared for cold spells, plus I think my daughter looks just adorable in her new denim jacket by Australian brand Havoc Denim:

Havoc Denim San Marino Denim Jacket

Havoc Denim San Marino Denim Jacket

10This gorgeous cropped Havoc Denim San Marino jacket ($59.95) is part of the latest Autumn/Winter collection and it is perfect for the in-between weather. Because of its classic denim fabric it goes with all of her other clothes and it looks particularly hip with pink and red, colours you find in most girls’ wardrobes. I absolutely love the ruffle around the collar and if I was to ask miss 4 she’d say her favourite parts are the diamonte buttons on the cuffs and at the front. A real winner for her winter wardrobe!

Havoc Denim Winter 2013

Havoc Denim Winter 2013

_I4C0852As you may know I have a soft spot for anything red, so I also quickly grabbed this cute red Monaco Trench ($59.95) for next year. My girls love playing outside and getting dirty so I always look for jackets that can be machine washed like this one (admit it, no mum likes dry cleaning for kids clothes). It is a thin, light weight style with handy detachable hood and the sweetest floral lining.

_I4C0794You can tell that Havoc Denim is always spot on trend as it is only May and this season’s Havoc Denim Floral Skinny ($59.95) is almost sold out already, there are only a few sizes left in the online store (Tip: Check your local stockist, with a bit of luck they still have your size). These awesome pants are skinny, soft, stretchy and of course super stylish, if only they came in mama sizes too! If you like the floral print you can also choose to go for plain pants with the Vienna Floral Jacket in matching fabric.

The Havoc Denim Winter collection has something for everyone from curious tots (size 2) all the way up to hip tweens (size 14). Bold colours, cheeky animal prints, eye catching florals and interesting textures, this winter is definitely not going to be boring.

The hot weather has most definitely arrived here in South Australia with a ‘lovely’ 43 degrees being expected today. I admit I don’t enjoy walking the kids to kindy in the rain but to be honest this sweaty weather is even worse. Time to get out the singlets and some hip Havoc Denim shorts so the kids can stay cool, both in temperature and style.

Just like his sisters my son loves a burst of colour and is not afraid to stand out from the crowd, a real Havoc Denim kid for sure. This summer he is sporting the awesome Hudson Skater shorts ($49.95, size 2-14) in this stunning aquamarine colour, how funky is the thick stitching? This style is longer in length so you can be sure it gets the tick of approval from older boys too, we all know they can be a little fussy sometimes.

Because I have boy/girl twins I don’t often get to dress them in the same clothes so when I saw these cute Soho shorts ($49.95, size 2-14) I knew they would be perfect for my girl twin, similar but not the same as her brother’s. They are similar in design and length to the Hudson boys shorts but with some gorgeous girly details too like sparkly diamante studs and of course the sweet colours (lemon and hot pink).

For those girls who love their shorts a little shorter there are the Miami and Hampton styles to choose from. I like the relaxed cut and traditional blue denim of the Hampton shorts ($49.95, size 2-14), such a simple yet gorgeous design and a real staple for the summer wardrobe. Being a more loose fit around the legs they are perfect for active girls and they will keep those little legs cool and breezy.

After so many dark and rainy months I think we are all excited to see some sun and colour popping up. For both children and adults colour is definitely the stylish way to go this summer and as always Havoc Denim is right on trend. The new summer range has just hit arrived at stockists all over Australia as well in the Havoc Denim online store, here’s what you should hunt for on your next shopping trip:

These cute Girls Miami Shorts ($49.95, size 2-14) are available in red and pink which are always popular colours for the girls. Just pop them on with a stylish singlet or tee and you’re ready to face summer. They are made with the soft, high quality denim Havoc Denim is famous for and I have no doubt the slightly thicker denim will last many, many wears unlike some of the flimsy alternatives around.

However my favourite style this season is the Girls Soho Lemon Short ($49.95, size 2-14) and clearly I am not the only one who loves this sunny colour as some sizes have sold out already. You don’t see yellow that often, let alone in denim, while it is such a happy summer colour and it looks stunning with white. Rest assured, if your little girl refuses to wear anything but pink there is a Hot Pink Soho Short available too.

Of course Havoc Denim wouldn’t be the same without some traditional blue denim, this time mixed with beautiful crochet details. This Havoc Denim Playsuit ($59.95, size 2-14) features crochet on the chest and at the pocket trims as well as a sweet denim belt around the waist, I think it looks just gorgeous. The shoulder straps are adjustable so you can always get the perfect fit for your little girl.
