Having visitors from overseas has proven to be the perfect excuse to (re)discover our own backyard. Skipping the waves at beautiful beaches, splashing about in a blow-up pool in the garden, picking cherries straight from the tree (and eating at least as much) at a cherry farm in the hills… so many lovely memories have been added to our family’s ‘memory box’ these last few weeks. We’re now preparing for the big goodbye and I am expecting a lot of tears, wish us luck!

They look really fresh and funky with the paisley print tee and are a fantastic choice for girls who are not too keen on pink or purple. The Seville shorts are available in lovely pink and mint too so they’re a great pick for siblings who want to look similar but not the same.

Although she’s only 20 months old little miss Sybbie has very long legs so I am hoping I can get away with a size 2 for this summer. I am particularly keen on the spotty skinny jeans in mint, one of my favourite pastel colours. Last but not least my only boy, he has been wearing his Jamaica Skinny Shorts (RRP $49.95) pretty much the entire holiday so I know the fit is excellent and they are very strong and sturdy, I may have to grab the next size up to last us through the upcoming summer.

After the huge success of Havoc Denim in its home country Australia it was only a matter of time until keen U.S. stores started picking up this trendy Aussie children’s fashion label. I don’t know how she did it but in between travelling to the States and attending some of the biggest trade shows designer Linstel has still found time to work on a new Autumn/Winter collection. As with all popular brands it is always a race between fashion savvy mamas to pick up the hippest designs and there are plenty of styles worth racing for this winter:

As the name suggests Havoc Denim is the place to go for awesome denim bottoms and this season brings plenty of eye catching designs. Whether you like classic blue or black denim with funky details, floral in all colours of the rainbow, bright or pastel, shiny and sparkly, plain or patterned, Havoc Denim has got little legs covered this Winter.

One of my personal favourites is the Havoc Denim Chloe Jean, pictured here with the totally on trend Havoc Denim Maya Faux Fur Vest. I think the combination of classic, neutral colours and interesting prints and textures looks fantastic and it’s a great look for older girls.

The Australian weather never ceases to amaze me. From cold, wet winter weather and warm fireplaces to hot, sunny days that call for shorts and sun screen, we’ve seen it all last week. When I send the kids to kindy I always make sure they wear a (light) jacket so they are prepared for cold spells, plus I think my daughter looks just adorable in her new denim jacket by Australian brand Havoc Denim:

Because of its classic denim fabric it goes with all of her other clothes and it looks particularly hip with pink and red, colours you find in most girls’ wardrobes. I absolutely love the ruffle around the collar and if I was to ask miss 4 she’d say her favourite parts are the diamonte buttons on the cuffs and at the front. A real winner for her winter wardrobe!

My girls love playing outside and getting dirty so I always look for jackets that can be machine washed like this one (admit it, no mum likes dry cleaning for kids clothes). It is a thin, light weight style with handy detachable hood and the sweetest floral lining.

The hot weather has most definitely arrived here in South Australia with a ‘lovely’ 43 degrees being expected today. I admit I don’t enjoy walking the kids to kindy in the rain but to be honest this sweaty weather is even worse. After so many dark and rainy months I think we are all excited to see some sun and colour popping up. For both children and adults colour is definitely the stylish way to go this summer and as always Havoc Denim is right on trend.
