There’s no avoiding it now, Autumn is here and it is cold! While I am looking forward to sitting in front of the warm fireplace the kids don’t mind the cold and they love being outside. If your kids are the outdoor type too they are going to need a good pair of gumboots to keep those little feet toasty. Check out these adorable Timber & Tamber gumboots from Appleseed Lane:

Timber

TamberTimber & Tamber Gumboots are designed in Melbourne and available in two designs and four hip colours. Girls will go crazy for the cute bow gumboots, aren’t they just divine? Made with 100% natural vulcanised rubber and a sturdy skid resistant sole these rain boots are perfect for the wet Autumn weather. Both the sock and bow gumboots feature 100% cotton lining that’s anti-bacterial and quick drying, because no one likes splashing around in soaking wet boots.

The boots cost $45 (sock) or $49.95 (bow) and come in sizes US7.5 – US10.

Back in October I wrote about our new vegie patch in the making and how my daughter was loving her purple Rosie Roo gumboots. Well the vegies were planted and we are already enjoying our very first home grown rocket and cos lettuce, I think the tomatoes are not too far off either! Unfortunately the heat has been keeping us inside these past couple of days so we’ve only gone out to water the garden, dressed in style of course and keeping my feet dry in my very own Rosie Roo Designer Wellies.

Let me remind you of some of the great features of the fabulous Rosie Roo Designer Wellies: first of all they are designed right here in Australia, they are hand manufactured with a 100% natural rubber upper and sole which are bonded together so the wellies are completely waterproof. On the inside the Rosie Roo wellingtons feature cotton lining and foam inner soles to make them extra comfortable.

Because not every woman has the same idea about what is hip and what is comfortable or practical designer Jacqui has created a large selection of prints and styles to suit everyone. Gorgeous tall wellies or cute short wellies that are easy to slip on, which style suits you best? You can even grab a matching Rosie Roo umbrella so you don’t get caught out by sun or rain on your next bush walk!

The Rosie Roo Designer Wellies for ladies are available in size 5 to 10, with some styles going up to size 12. As the proud owner of a pair of Rosie Roo Tall Willow Wellies I am making a sport out of wearing them whenever I can, like when I quickly go check the mailbox or drop by at the neighbours. Everyone loves them! I love the extra length, it keeps my jeans clean and creepy crawlers out.

Many mums have already discovered how easy it is to shop online and by doing so they can really support small Australian companies, it is so much fun and very rewarding to shop at little boutiques and one-woman-businesses that you would otherwise never even know about. One of these gems waiting to be discovered is a new boutique called Nelly Jean, based in Queensland but open to mums worldwide and filled with little treasures.

Nelly Jean is owned by mum Louise, who loves hunting for unique brands and designs that can not be found in just any corner store. On top of the current range she has her eyes on many more fabulous international brands that Australian mums are going to love so this is one store to watch! How cool is British label Bob & Blossom with its fantastic number t-shirts, perfect for a very excited birthday boy or girl.

If you are looking for a gorgeous Christmas outfit for your little lady that everyone will comment on you can’t go past the adorable Love Henry designs. This Australian designed and owned label is all about sweet prints, frills, ribbons and other little details that will make your daughter look even cuter than she already is. The 3-tiered Love Henry Frilly Skirt ($39.95) features florals and dots in shades of pink, you’ll have a hard time resisting this lovely combination.

Nelly Jean is not just about the girls though, the Nelly Jean wardrobe caters for babies, boys and girls and the range is always changing. The shelves are filled with stylish tops and bottoms, on the hangers you’ll find dresses and skirts and in the drawer down below a selection of accessories like legwarmers and hats. Some colourful spotty gumboots wait proudly on the side to finish off the real Nelly Jean look.

To find out more about Nelly Jean, to browse the range and to order online visit www.nellyjean.com. Until December 16, 2011, you can get a fabulous 20% discount on all clothing, simply enter the code ‘hip’ at checkout.
