With baby no.6 due later this Winter I couldn’t resist this happy Cloudy Yellow print, not only is it a gorgeous look for both boys and girls but the entire More than a Fling range is also made from super soft, certified organic cotton so it’s a great choice for sensitive newborn skin. Kukukid

Often when I talk to other mums about kids clothing I hear the same complaint: ‘Everything looks the same’. Looking around at our local shopping centre I have to agree, most bigger stores share the same look and there is not much room for creativity and individuality.

Kukukid Winter

The trick to standing out from the crowd is shopping online and finding a rare and rad shop like A Little Bit of Cheek, which stocks edgy fashion that screams awesomeness. All the way from Poland the latest Kukukid collection has just arrived in store and it definitely ticks that ‘Awesome’ box:

Kukukid Octopus TeeKukukid clothing is fun, funky and comfortable with most designs suitable for boys and girls aged 3 months up to 8 years. This season’s colours are white, mint and blue with cool unisex prints. As always all garments can be mixed and matched to your heart’s content so you can create a truly unique look. While you are there why not pick up some of the older Kukukid designs on sale? Prices start at just $15, a real steal!

The sun is shining, the days are getting longer, the weather is (slowly) warming up and we’ve had our first trip to the beach… this can only mean one thing: Summer is on its way! At Havoc Denim they are 100% Summer ready with a bright and cheerful Spring/Summer collection for little trendsetters aged 2-14:

Havoc Denim favourites

Australian designer Linstel has once again done an amazing job translating the latest trends from around the globe into stylish, funky and wearable fashion for cool kids. From awesome jeans in a rainbow of colours to sweet summer dresses and from playful shorts to gorgeous printed tops, Havoc Denim has got the Summer season covered.

Havoc Denim 2015

It’s no secret that you can judge the popularity of a brand by the speed it sells out and Havoc Denim is known to fly off the shelves so grab your favourites while you can or you may miss out. Of course I have my eye on a few pieces for my own little tribe too, starting with the divine floral printed Havoc Denim jeans on a soft green background. We have the floral print jeans from last season too and they fit like a glove, they’re one of miss 6’s most worn pants so I know she would love this pretty summer edition.

Havoc Denim colour

For our cheeky and bubbly miss 4, who adores the colour yellow, I have my heart set on the spotty sunshine Seville Shorts (RRP $44.95). They look really fresh and funky with the paisley print tee and are a fantastic choice for girls who are not too keen on pink or purple. The Seville shorts are available in lovely pink and mint too so they’re a great pick for siblings who want to look similar but not the same.

Havoc Denim Summer 2015

Although she’s only 20 months old little miss Sybbie has very long legs so I am hoping I can get away with a size 2 for this summer. I am particularly keen on the spotty skinny jeans in mint, one of my favourite pastel colours. Last but not least my only boy, he has been wearing his Jamaica Skinny Shorts (RRP $49.95) pretty much the entire holiday so I know the fit is excellent and they are very strong and sturdy, I may have to grab the next size up to last us through the upcoming summer.

To find out more about Havoc Denim, to locate a stockist near you or to shop online visit www.havocdenim.com, shipping is FREE Australia wide.

Thanks to Havoc Denim we are giving you the chance to win a $100 Havoc Denim Summer outfit in your choice of gender and size (2-14). The lucky winner’s outfit will be handpicked by Havoc Denim owner and designer Linstel D’Mello and delivered to their doorstep, who wouldn’t want a delivery like that? After the huge success of Havoc Denim in its home country Australia it was only a matter of time until keen U.S. stores started picking up this trendy Aussie children’s fashion label. I don’t know how she did it but in between travelling to the States and attending some of the biggest trade shows designer Linstel has still found time to work on a new Autumn/Winter collection. As with all popular brands it is always a race between fashion savvy mamas to pick up the hippest designs and there are plenty of styles worth racing for this winter:

Havoc Denim 2014

As the name suggests Havoc Denim is the place to go for awesome denim bottoms and this season brings plenty of eye catching designs. Whether you like classic blue or black denim with funky details, floral in all colours of the rainbow, bright or pastel, shiny and sparkly, plain or patterned, Havoc Denim has got little legs covered this Winter.

Havoc Denim Winter

One of my personal favourites is the Havoc Denim Chloe Jean, pictured here with the totally on trend Havoc Denim Maya Faux Fur Vest. I think the combination of classic, neutral colours and interesting prints and textures looks fantastic and it’s a great look for older girls.

Autumn scarfThe sparkling Kylie Purse is part of the brand new Havoc Denim accessories range, a wonderful selection of bags and scarves designed to complete your stylish Havoc Denim outfit. The Kylie purse is available in gold, silver and pink shimmer and the huggable Autumn Faux Fur Scarf comes in winter white and natural brown (don’t worry, no rabbits were killed in the manufacturing process!).

Havoc Denim Jay HoodieThis season’s must have boys basic is the Havoc Denim Jay Hoodie, a stripey little number that goes with anything in your son’s wardrobe. I love that the striped fabric come back in the lining of the hood, it adds a real ‘finished’ look to a casual top. Sporting timeless grey and either blue or green this is a very versatile piece, it’s the perfect comfortable pick for a chilly Autumn day.

However the real standout for the boys is without a doubt the Havoc Denim Ryder Denim Vest. The blue denim is easy to mix and match and it’s a super simple way to add a layer of warmth (and a touch of cool) to your long sleeve tees. Created with plenty of pockets the vest is ideal for little explorers who like to collect treasures or just to keep cold hands warm.

Oishi-m A/W has arrived

Australian label Oishi-m has gathered quite the following over the past few years, a few weeks ago I discovered there is even an exclusive market for older, second-hand Oishi-m styles that’s how sought after this label is! All styles are limited edition so they can not be ordered in again, you can consider yourself lucky if you own a few of these stylish pieces.

Oishi-m Fun SkirtThis Winter your little minifashionistas can wear a different Oishi-m outfit every day of the week. Jeans and trackies, skirts and t-shirts, jumpers and jackets, there are lots of different styles to choose from and thanks to the colourful prints and prints it is super easy to match them up. Oishi-m is definitely not boring, bland or plain, it is funky, unique, versatile and shows personality and character.

Oishi-m Now JacketOne of my personal favourites this season is the Oish-m Now Jacket ($89.95, size 3-6). It features the signature asymmetrical crossover closure Oishi-m is famous for, a cute floral trim and the hood is lined with beautiful paisley print fabric, very eye catching. Combining red, pink, blue, orange, grey and purple this is without a doubt a massive must-have for your girls winter wardrobe.

Now before you dash off to buy this utterly divine Sing Wonderful Crew Jumper ($59.95, size 3-6) please note that I have first dibs on the size 4-5 (just kidding, if you beat me to it I will forgive you). I am madly in love with this sweet little number in pretty soft, pastel coloured tones, how gorgeous is the floral detail at the hem? This girls jumper is like a breath of fresh air on a dark Autumn day.

Tootsa MacGinty

If I had to describe fabulous UK label Tootsa MacGinty in a few words it would be classic, cool, country and comfort. Their stylish children’s clothing makes me think of Autumn, walks in the forest, climbing trees and building forts, gumboots and farm adventures. Last year’s collection was a huge hit and luckily enough Baby Donkie has managed to also secure the latest range for Aussie kids to enjoy:

Miss 5 sporting Tootsa MacGinty

Miss 5 sporting Tootsa MacGinty

Featuring soft, high quality and durable materials, comfortable cuts and vibrant colours and prints Tootsa MacGinty gets the tick of approval from both children and parents. Little fashionistas will love the style, curious adventurers enjoy the comfortable fit and mum appreciates the durability and easy wash and wear. Many of the styles are unisex yet absolutely not boring or plain, great for siblings to pass on once outgrown.

Tootsa MacGinty Fox NY

I originally picked the Tootsa MacGinty Periwinkle Fox Knit ($55, size 18 months – 5 years) for our 3.5 year old daughter, she usually wears a size 4 so I thought size 4-5 would be a safe choice. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised at the sizing as it was so generous the jumper was actually much more suited to miss 5, it worked out well as the colour looks just stunning on her and she loves the comfortable, soft (non-itchy) feel. She will get plenty of wear out of it and then it can be passed on to miss 3, you’ve got to love having a big family!

Tootsa MacGinty Boys

As always the Tootsa MacGinty A/W 2014 collection is easy to mix and match, with other garments in the range but also with pieces from your existing wardrobe. Go for a bold look with all over print or keep it simple with a neutral top and printed pants or team up a nice pair of denims with a printed top, it is up to you. One thing you can be sure of, your child will be the coolest kid on the block as Tootsa MacGinty is rather exclusive here in OZ!

For a limited time only Baby Donkie offers FREE shipping Australia wide on all orders. Simply enter the code ‘BREAK’ at checkout, offer ends April 27, 2014. (Due to a short holiday orders will be sent early May)

As regular readers will know by now we are big fans of hip Australian label Baobab, between my four children we have quite a nice collection of Baobab gear already and I can’t help but add to it every season. We love the super soft and safe organic fabrics and we can’t get enough of the awesome cuts and cool looks created by designer Belinda. The brand new Baboab Autumn/Winter range has just hit stores across Australia and boy it’s a winner, these are some of the styles to look out for:

Baobab Denim Shift Dress

This divine Baobab Chambray Shift Dress ($48.95, size 2-10) would have to be my top pick for the season. The classic blue denim is extremely easy to mix and match with any colour in your wardrobe and the comfortable, loose fit is perfect for busy little bees like my girls. If your daughter is always collecting treasures she will no doubt love the big pockets and how stylish is the plaited belt? Team it up with leggings and ballet flats or sneakers for that in between weather and wear it with tights and boots for a warm winter look.

Baobab Lovebirds TeeAnother girls favourite is the Baobab Lovebirds Top ($41.95, size 2-10), I knew our little miss 5 would adore the pretty flared sleeves and it looks very sweet on her. The girls range of tunics, tops, dresses and pants are designed to be worn together but you can easily pair them up with garments you already have too as they’re very versatile. From experience the sizing is nice and generous, so it is comfortable to wear and you gets lots of wear out of your clothes.

Olivia Baobab Lovebirds Tee

Baobab Teal HoodieFor the boys there is plenty of spunky gear to choose from too, I put my money on the Teal Hoodie and Track Pants as a comfy winter favourite (or maybe the black/grey combination, I can’t choose). It’s the perfect outfit for when you come out of school or for a chilly weekend day: soft, cosy and comfortable with plenty of room to run, play, jump, climb, lounge and relax in, just what kids like doing most.

Unisex Pale Washed Harem JeanFor the past couple of seasons Baobab has released a funky unisex jean and we’ve bought (and enjoyed) it every time, the jeans have gone from our son to his twin sister and now they’re being worn by miss 3 (great investment for a big family like ours!). I am loving the look of this year’s Unisex Pale Washed Harem Jean ($48.95, size 2-6) so I might have to add it to our Winter wardrobe, they’ll get lots of enjoyment out of it.

Baobab Red Baby JeanThe Baobab baby collection is full of gorgeous pieces in the coolest prints and colours, many of the designs are unisex which is a real bonus if you want to hand them down to younger siblings. I personally love a pop of red at winter time and can just picture these cheerful Baobab Red Baby Jean ($41.95, size 0 months – 1 year) on our youngest daughter, who said you have to dress grey and dreary like the weather?

Spotted a style you love? Until April 18, 2014, you can save 20% storewide at Baobab. Simply enter the code ‘BUNNY-LOVE’ at checkout and enjoy the savings!
