Boon Inc

Like most other kids my little tribe is crazy about playing with water. They had really high hopes for these school holidays but sadly it doesn’t look like there are any sizzling hot days coming up so outside water fun is out of the question. Luckily we are blessed with a huge double shower so we simply move the water play inside, we are flexible like that. If you are looking for awesome ways to turn boring bath time into a real party you will love the Boon Inc. range of innovative bath toys. This colourful collection of designer bath toys is exciting, refreshing, high quality and (of course) super safe so you can spend less time worrying and more time having fun!

Boon Frog Pod

This funky Frog Pod (RRP $59.95, 6 months+) is a must-have pet for every family bath room, don’t worry, he is not as slimy and slippery as it sounds and you don’t even have to feed him! The cool green frog is strong, durable and washable and attaches to your wall (using the enclosed wall bracket with screws or very strong adhesive strips). Measuring a huge 19″ x 16.5″ x 7″ in size it makes a perfect home for all your bath toys and toiletries, you’ll be amazed how much fits in.

Frog Pod by Boon Inc.

Designed with little kids and busy mamas in mind the Frog Pod is child friendly with rounded shapes and no sharp edges. The frog’s body is more than just a tidy toy basket, it can also be removed and used as a scoop to collect toys out of the bath water. Featuring convenient drainage holes across the base your toys won’t be sitting in yucky water afterwards so they are a lot less likely to get mouldy (Have you had a close look inside your bath ducks lately?). Behind the head of the frog hides a handy little shelf so you can keep your baby’s shampoo and body wash within hand’s reach. I love the stylish looks of the Frog Pod and it’s so easy to use!

Boon Inc. ScrubbleThere are plenty more great Boon Inc. bath toys available that are sure to put the fun back in bath time. We all know you can splash, pour and spray, but did you know you can Scrubble (RRP $14.95, 9 months+) in your bath tub too? This set of three Scrubbles is perfect for siblings to share. Each bulb opens up and can be filled with water, then screw on the other half and scrubble as much as you like (great for fine motor skills)! My kids love trying out the feel of the different shapes on their skin, I think I may offer myself up for a massage next time.

Boon Inc. LinksAdding a touch of story time to your daily wash is a piece of cake with the Boon Inc. Links (RRP $12.95, 12 months+). Kids can use the 11 foam pieces to build a range of sea animals: a whale, a crab, a jelly fish or a mysterious creature no one has ever seen before, it’s up to you! Links are fun for a wide age range, they’re a fantastic tool to encourage older children to use their imagination and work on their story telling skills while real little ones can learn about animal names and colours.

Boon Inc. BubblesLike all Boon Inc. bath toys the futuristic looking Bubbles (RRP $19.95, 12 months+) are free from BPA, PVC and Phthalates, no nasties near your precious bundle! Unlike real bubbles they won’t pop, stick them to each other, the bath tub, the shower screen, the tap or the floor, collect the same colours or mix them up and attach as many as you can to create a big bubble bunch. Each set contains 10 Bubbles in 2 different sizes.

Boon Inc. RayThe adorable Ray (RRP $12.95, 6 months+) may not be a bath toy but it is still very cute and a fantastic helper to have on hand during bathing. If your bath plug sticks up, doesn’t seal, pops out easily or if you have an adventurous mini-explorer who likes pulling the stop Ray is your man. He feels best at the bottom of the sea/bath, simply place this gentle giant over your plug to keep it out of the way and your little swimmer safe and comfy, bonus: it stops any water from running down the drain.

You can find your favourite Boon Inc. products at Baby Bunting, Toys ‘R’ Us, Bubs Baby Shop and Baby Village.

That's MY Story

Last year I introduced you to That’s MY Story, a colourful pack of story telling cards that encourages kids (and their parents) to use their imagination and make up their own adventures. After the success of the original That’s My Story cards Australian mother and creator Melissa got stuck into a brand new project to bring the excitement of story telling into your bathroom:

That's MY Story Bathtime

Turn the daily chore of bath time into a fun game with That’s MY Story Bathtime (RRP $18.95). The new Bathtime pack consists of 21 foam bath stickers and a practical mesh storage pack that simple sticks onto your bathroom wall with suction caps. The stickers are (obviously) waterproof, washable and reusable so you can use them day in day out.

That's MY Story Bathtime GreenThe foam bath stickers have different pictures, shapes and colours and each colour/shape represents a different category: Characters, Settings and Objects. So how do you play? Randomly choose one of each category and let your imagination do the rest, what will your story be today? There are so many combinations possible and you can keep building your adventure by adding new stickers to the story.

Featuring easily recognisable images like a police officer, a ball, a plane, a teacher, a rainbow, a present and lots more the That’s MY Story Bathtime stickers can be enjoyed by young children too. There are no reading skills required and even if your children are too young to create their own stories they can still use the bath time stickers to learn about colours and shapes.
