Betty the Tightrope DollAs you may remember we have the gorgeous Betty Tightrope Doll (was RRP $44.95, now $22.45) and she is so very cute, she would make the perfect friend for a special little girl. With her sparkly tulle tutu and purple velvet cape decorated with stars Betty is pretty as a picture and offers lots of dressing up fun. Betty comes packaged in a lovely gift box, ready to be presented to a lucky recipient.

Ebulobo Pound a Ball WolfIf you have a cheeky tot who loves exploring and working things out this colourful Crazy Wold Pound a Ball (was RRP $64.95, now $32.45) by Ebulobo is just what you need. Children can practise their fine motor skills by placing the three balls in the holes and give them a tap with the hammer, after which they will re-appear in the big mouth of the crazy wolf. It’s one of those toys that will keep kids busy for ages, they’ll want to try it over and over again.

When I first wrote about Plus-Plus (now from $4.95) it was a huge hit, this fun and interesting take on the traditional building block encourages kids to use their imagination and come with creative designs. It’s a brilliant boredom buster on a rainy day and suitable for girls and boys. In the current clearance sale you can pick up a pack from as little as $4.95, what a steal! Plus-Plus sets make really great gifts and are available in basic, neon or pastel colours.

I can’t believe it is already a year ago that I first introduced you to the awesome Plus-Plus range from the Coccinella store. I was so excited to tell you about these quirky shaped building bricks from Denmark and one year on we still love them, I purchased our kids the big 400 pc box and they regularly tip all the Plus-Plus pieces over on the rug to build, create and play for ages, individually or together.

Plus-Plus 3-in-1 Pastel 220

Shaped like two plus symbols (hence the name) this funky building toy adds a whole new dimension to building fun. You can build upwards, sideways and even completely flat, Plus-Plus will really get those little minds working. Designed with a soft, smooth yet strong and durable material Plus-Plus is a fantastic tactile activity for children that really encourages them to get creative and think about the bigger picture (it does require a bit of patience!).

Plus-Plus 3-in-1 Neon

The new Plus-Plus 3-in-1 Mini building sets are available in two different sizes: 220 pieces ($19.95) and 480 pieces ($29.95). You can choose from three different colour combinations (basic, neon and pastel) to suit both boys and girls. Each Plus-Plus 3-in-1 set includes instructions to make three great models to get you started but obviously you can use your own imagination and building skills to design many more fantastic Plus-Plus creations, the options are endless!

It’s been a while since I brought you an update on Ebulobo but today I’ve got news and let me tell you, it was worth the wait. A brand new delivery of Ebulobo toys has arrived from France and made it into the Coccinella store on Down That Little Lane, they’re soft, huggable and gorgeous as always and make the perfect buddy for your little one:

Super Monsieur Louloup

Even though he measures a very impressive 100cm in length this big wolf is far from scary. Kids will be running towards this cuddly Super Monsieur Louloup ($99.95) to give him a big squeeze and he has no big sharp teeth for grandma to worry about. Like all Ebulobo toys he is made with precious little bundles in mind, all of Europe’s strictest safety standards are met and he contains only safe and non-toxic elements for your peace of mind.

Trendy Monsieur LouloupWho said fairytales are old fashioned? Clearly this Trendy Monsieur Louloup (65cm, $59.95) knows his chances of eating Little Red Riding Hood for dinner are very small so he has brought along his mobile phone to order take away instead. Mr. Wolf has flexible long legs and arms that are the perfect size for little hands to hold on to and on his belly you’ll find a handy storage pouch for his phone, you didn’t know wolves could have pouches did you?

Little Bag BettyDo you remember Tightrope Betty from the Ebulobo Magic Circus Collection? Well she is back for another performance this season in the shape of this adorable Little Bag Betty ($39.95). Little girls can carry around there special treasures wherever they go in this sweet pink cord shoulder bag decorated with Betty in her pretty gold tutu. I’ve popped one of these away for my daughter’s upcoming birthday, she is going to love it!

Ebulobo WoodbearThis year Ebulobo has given old favourites Gustave, Louloup and Woodbear an extra snuggly makeover and transformed them into flat cuddly toys ($34.95), combining the eye catching look of Ebulobo toys with the soft, comfortable feel of snuggle blanket. Unlike with ordinary ’round’ soft toys there are less bumps and bulky shapes that could be uncomfortable to sleep on and it makes them more compact to pop in your bag too.

Sonny Angel

One of the awesome things about being a parent is that it allows you to indulge in childhood crazes and silly games without looking ridiculous. One thing my kids really enjoy is collecting ‘things’, something I also loved when I was younger and now I can go for it all over again. The excitement of adding new pieces to your collection, the endless studying of that little catalogue to see which designs you are missing and that ‘moment of truth’ when you rip open a blind packet to unveil your new treasure.

Sonny Angel Animals

The latest collecting toy to hit Australian stores is Sonny Angel, a cute little winged boy doll that is rapidly stealing hearts all across the country and around the world. Sporting nothing but an eye-catching head piece Sonny is an innocent little toy, much more peaceful than scary robots and violent fighting machines and more age appropriate than Barbie and Bratz dolls covered in make up. The funny things is that our kids still haven’t noticed, or commented on, his Adam’s costume.

Sonny Angel FruitThere are lots of different Sonny Angels available and new designs are released all the time so you can keep growing your collection. Current series include Vegetables, Fruit, Animals and Marine and with 12 Sonny Angel designs per series that is a lot of angelic pieces to collect. All Sonny Angel dolls are sold ‘blind’ so while you can pick the series you won’t know which doll you’ll get. If you buy multiple dolls from the series in one purchase you are guaranteed to receive no doubles.

Sonny Angel AnimalsDisclaimer: Sonny Angel may or may not bring you happiness, I am afraid I can’t give guarantees. What he will bring you is plenty of smiles as he is super duper adorable, kids will love building their own collection and they make great imaginative play toys (at 10cm high they’re perfect for ‘on the go’). Be warned that collecting these little dudes is quite addictive and your child may want to grow a very large Sonny Angel family!

Sonny Angel MarineSonny Angels are sold individually with 1 doll per box and a little collection booklet showing all the different designs is included. You can find Sonny Angel in the Coccinella store on Australian market place Down That Little Lane. Normally each doll costs $10.95 with a flat rate shipping fee of $8.95 no matter how big or small your order but for a limited time only Sonny Angel dolls are on special for the reduced price of $9.95 per doll or $119.95 for a complete series of 12. Offer ends February 23, 2014.
