After trying almost 40 different brand and types of reusable cloth nappies in the last 7 years there is only one brand I can recommend with all confidence: Close. Like most mums who have tried their amazing Pop-In nappies it was love at first sight for us, there is just nothing like it! Over the years these brilliant nappies have only gotten better and the latest arrivals are sure to be well received by Aussie Pop-In fans:

Pop-In Nappies

Seriously, cloth nappies do not come any cuter than this! The award-winning Pop-Ins deliver big on performance and are super pretty too, what more could you ask for? The brand new Pop-In New Generation V2 (RRP $39.95) is made from a soft, eco-friendly bamboo fabric that is antibacterial, breathable and very absorbent. If you’ve always wanted to try cloth nappies but thought they were too tricky you will find Pop-Ins extremely simple to use: no pinning or folding, just close the velcro tabs and go.

Pop-In Parts

The winning combination of a waterproof shell with absorbent panel, a removable soaker and booster, together with double leg-gusset to prevent leaks, will keep your baby comfortable, dry and happy. There is no need to hide these stylish nappies under ugly nappy covers, they clearly deserve to be seen. You can find all 6 new designs in store right now at Eco Child.

Pop-In V2Pop-Ins clever press-stud design can be adjusted to suit babies weighing 7-35lbs, making them an excellent investment for growing families. Instead of wasting money on disposable nappies these adorable MCNs will last all the way from birth til toilet training, now that’s great value for money! We have found Pop-Ins really easy to wash and dry, a simple 60 degree machine wash does the job (no soaking) and they dry quickly.

OZ Baby Trends

With breastfeeding once again being the topic of conversation, this time thanks to a proud and confident mama on The Voice, it seems like the perfect time to introduce you to two fantastic breastfeeding products from OZ Baby Trends:

The Breastvest has been created by and for mums to take the hassle out of breastfeeding in public. The design is simple but effective: the singlet shaped garment covers your tummy so you don’t leave skin exposed when you lift your top to breastfeed your baby yet it leaves your nursing bra easily accessible for quick and convenient feeding when out and about. Instead of buying expensive breastfeeding clothing you can turn all your ordinary tops into a nursing garment with one simple singlet, how awesome is that?

A few weeks ago we asked one of our lovely Hip little one readers to put the Breastvest to the test and here’s what she has to say about this innovative product:

Breastvest in use‘What a great invention the Breastvest is! As a breastfeeding mum of a 9 month old, no matter what it’s hard to not feel self conscious about your post baby figure. I feel the Breastvest has given me more confidence in those times I have needed to feed my son in public, as barely any flesh can be seen at all. The material is very light weight so it is great to wear under your favourite tops without it being seen. Also, in these colder months it is great to keep you warm whilst feeding especially those early morning feeds.

I have been able to wear all of my normal pre-baby tops since I have been using the Breastvest, which is a huge relief as I have really struggled to find breastfeeding tops that I have liked or without spending a small fortune.

Breastvest ReviewThe quality of the Breastvest is great. I like the fact the product scoops to fit just below the nursing bra so you don’t have to mess around too much with your top when trying to feed a hungry bubs. The material is very durable and has been through the wash numerous times without a problem. It hasn’t lost it shape or developed any signs of balling. The material is very soft and feels nice against the skin.

The sizing chart was great and I found that the measurements were a perfect fit for my size. I like that the Breastvest is long enough to cover your whole tummy and gives enough stretch for the post pregnancy tummy.

I feel that the Breastvest is great value for money and an essential piece of clothing for the breastfeeding mum. It’s practical for the everyday mum and it’s lightweight enough that you don’t even realise you are wearing it.’

The Breastvest ($29.95) is available in black and white and comes in the sizes XS to XL, to determine the correct size for you please refer to the Breastvest size chart.

Our wonderful reviewer also tried out the new Pop-In Breast Pads by Close Ltd. As designers of the famous Pop-In cloth nappy they know all about absorbency, washability and natural fabrics and they have combined these great features in their reusable nursing pads. One of the things that sets their design aside from similar products on the market is the unique shape, created to follow the natural curves of the breast it fits better and reduces the chance of visible lines.

Pop-In Breast PadsDon’t be fooled by the slim size, not visible to the naked eye the pads actually consist of three layers: on one side a fast-wicking polyester that takes away the wetness from the skin and on the other side a full layer of waterproof laminate, sandwiched together by an absorbent soya bean fabric core well known for its natural absorbency, softness and thermo-regulating properties. Our reviewer shares her honest opinion on the Pop-In Breast Pads:

Pop-In Nursing Pads‘As someone who has mostly used bamboo breastpads I have actually found the popin breastpads great. They are super soft and because they are slim they are very discreet. The breastpads are great value for money as there are three pairs in the pack, as well as a mesh laundry bag to protect the product in the wash. I have found the pads to be quite absorbent and have had no leaks onto my clothing. All in all a great product for the breastfeeding mum!’

The Pop-In Breast Pads by Close Ltd ($24.95) are available as a 6-pack: one pair to wear, one pair to wash and one pair to spare; a free mesh laundry bag is included.

One of the things I love most about Summer is that my washing pile is a lot smaller in the warmer months than in the chilly Autumn/Winter season. In Summer the kids put on just a simple top and shorts or dress and they often eat their dinner wearing nothing but their undies so there are no dirty clothes to wash. In Winter they wear a few layers of clothes and somehow they all (but especially the baby!) manage to get food on everything. With four kids that equals a lot of laundry!

Pop-In Coverall Bib

The brand new Pop-In Coverall Bib by Close is designed to help reduce mess, prevent your child’s clothing getting ruined by nasty food stains, dirty paint messes or sticky craft glue and (very important) make mum’s life easier with less cleaning up and less washing. Created by the makers of the Close Pop-In nappy and brought to you by the wonderful team at OZ Baby Trends you can trust you are buying a quality item that is durable, practical and works a treat.

Coverall Bibs

The generous long sleeve design provides excellent coverage for little mess makers, covering their complete chest, lap, shoulders, sleeves and even part of their back. Clothes stay clean and dry thanks to the waterproof fabric, simply wipe clean afterwards and your bib is good as new. It will be one very clever cookie who is able to get any mess past this awesome bib! Handy tip: Keep a Pop-In Coverall in your nappy bag for those unplanned snacks or meals when out and about, that way your baby’s good ‘going out’ clothes are well protected.

The Pop-In Coverall Bib (RRP $24.95) is available in four stylish prints and two sizes: ‘Stage 3’ to fit children aged 6-18 months and ‘Stage 4’ to fit children aged 18-36 months.
