Djeco

Now that we have three school/kindy aged kids there is no avoiding the masses of birthday invitations that come our way. Sometimes it feels like we have a birthday party on every single weekend! While attending parties does get quite time consuming and costly I understand how important it is for our children to spend time with their friends and classmates so where possible we always try to go. If your wallet is feeling the pinch of all those parties you are sure to love this collection of budget friendly gift ideas from Where Did You Get That?:

Djeco Little Gifts

Priced at just $2.50 – $10.95 Djeco Little Gifts are fun, original, creative and they won’t break the bank. They’re the perfect size and price tag to stash in your gift cupboard so you will never find yourself empty-handed when it comes to birthdays, Christmas, christenings and other special celebrations.

Djeco Stamp KitThere are some great Djeco gifts to choose from, suitable for boys and girls of different ages and stages. I have a few favourites myself that I know are always a big hit with the birthday boy or girl for example the Mini Stamps (RRP $9.95). These beautiful themed stamp kits contain a bunch of miniature stamps and a coloured ink pad, just add a cool notebook or writing pad and you’re done!

Mini StickersYou can also never go wrong with these awesome Mini Stickers, they’re just $2.50 a set and each pack has a different theme and look. Glitter letters, puffy pictures, sparkly flowers… Mini Stickers are the perfect little add-on gift and kids will have an absolute ball decorating their belongings with these funky designs. Bonus: the sticker sets are nice and flat making them an ideal envelope-friendly present to post out to friends interstate of overseas.

Smash

I don’t know about you but for me grocery shopping with my little tribe is always a bit of a challenge. I usually come well prepared with my shopping list but the kids have different plans and ask, beg and whinge (and sometimes even scream) for unhealthy snacks that they spot around the place. Next time instead of buying your little shoppers an overpriced treat bag of chocolates why not look for other non-food distractions that are fun, affordable, healthy and actually useful like these new mealtime products by Smash:

Smash Fantasy Feet

Smash Fantasy Feet (prices from $2 – $3.50)

The Smash Fantasy Feet range recently welcomed the friendly elephant and adorable owl to the family, aren’t they cute? All products are sold separately so you can pick those pieces that your child needs and likes most. Kids will love the colourful designs and as the range is BPA and PET free as well as dishwasher and microwave safe mum is sure to approve too, winners all around. Choose from plates, bowls, tumblers (all with handy non slip detail at the bottom) and matching drink bottles (330ml).

The cute animal designs are not the only thing friendly about Smash products, they are friendly on the family budget too with the Fantasy Feet collection priced at just $2 to $3.50 per item.

You can find the Smash Fantasy Feet collection exclusively at Coles stores across Australia.

Kaszubebe

Yesterday our baby girl turned six months old, that’s half a year gone in the blink of an eye! Since she was four months old she has been showing signs of teething so I think those first white toothy pegs can’t be far away. As little as she is she has proven to be quite picky but when I first gave her one of these Kaszubebe Wooden Teethers she took to it immediately.

Teething relief with style

In the rocker, in the pram, in the carrier and in the car seat, Sybil was always happily gnawing away on this lovely shaped teether until one day we lost it. I searched high and low but couldn’t find it anywhere, luckily the wonderful Renata at Coccinella still had some in stock, crisis averted. Kaszubebe Wooden Teethers are handmade in Poland using the most beautiful, high quality, 100% chemical free wood, so it’s a safe and natural choice for precious little bundles.

Kaszubebe Wooden Teethers ($15)

Kaszubebe TeetherThere are three different teethers to choose from, each with smooth, rounded curves and a hole for little fingers to hold on to. Priced at a teeny tiny $15 per teether the Kaszubebe Teethers are gentle on your baby’s gums, the environment AND your wallet. Make sure you grab a spare one just in case! Last time I mentioned these fabulous designs on Facebook they sold out in a flash so be quick if you want to get your hands on one or two. The teethers come packaged in a cute little gift box.
