A few weeks ago I introduced you to Australian company Linenly, home to the most beautiful organic bamboo bedlinen. I have been so excited to discover their range and even more so to dive into a bed freshly made with bamboo goodness! After impatiently stalking the postman for my order I quickly gave my new linen its first wash and manage to swap my sheets just in time for bed…

Because many of you are new to bamboo I promised to share my thoughts on this luxurious range and I made sure to spend a good month trying it out. I slept on it and under it, I washed it and dried it, I ironed it (low setting!) and even squeezed in a few sleep-ins which is very rare for me! There is a lot I want to say about Linenly, but in short let’s just say we are very impressed.

My Linenly order arrived quickly, it was delivered in a matter of days and carefully wrapped for safe transport and delivery. As you can see even the packaging is eco friendly: this nice fabric bag (which matches the colour of your new sheets) holds all your new linen and if you’re a master folder you may even be able to store everything back in there whilst not in use. It would most certainly make it easy to keep the sheets and pillow cases neatly together in your linen cupboard.

The sheets are silky soft and you instantly notice the high quality. All Linenly bamboo sheets have a rich 400 thread count and have been made with a premium sateen weave, it feels like sliding into a deluxe hotel bed every single night. Even after washing our sheets several times the smooth, silky feeling remains, which confirms the quality and durability of this bamboo fabric. For more fabulous facts about bamboo check out my earlier post about Linenly.

Keeping our old sheets onto our extra thick king size mattress was a daily cause of frustration but the Linenly fitted sheets are a generous 40cm deep (and stretchy) and therefore stay perfectly in place. I was so pleased with how the ‘forest’ colour matched with the headboard of our new King Living bed, it looks really clean and calming. Rest assured, there are eight stunning colours to choose from so there is a perfect shade for every bedroom.

If you are keen to give bamboo a go now is the time, with Linenly offering a massive 40% discount on all Linenly bamboo sheet sets. Prices are as marked, Australia-wide delivery is free for orders over $150.

Cot size, single size and queen size, boy colours, girly shades and of course spares of everything… being a large family of seven it is no surprise our bedlinen collection is quite significant. I have often wished I could use the same gear for the cot and single beds, it would save me so much space and be much kinder on the family budget too! Well, thanks to ergoPouch you can:

ergopouch-sheets

On Sunday I finally got Hip Daddy to assemble this pretty bunk for the two big girls, doesn’t it look lovely teamed up with these gorgeous pastel ergoPouch Stretch Sheets?

ergopouch-bamboo-sheetAs the name suggests the brand new ergoPouch Bamboo Stretch Sheets (RRP $39.95) are super soft and very stretchy, in fact they are so stretchy they are designed to fit from cot (yes, including those tricky sized and odd shaped cots) all the way up to a proper single bed! That means one single sheet will last you from baby to teen stage and beyond, now that’s a good investment.

Made with a luxurious blend of bamboo viscose jersey and a touch of elastane for extra flexibility ergoPouch sheets are high quality, soft to touch and gentle against the skin. Bamboo is often praised for its wonderful antibacterial properties, its breathability and the way it assists temperature control, making it a perfect pick all year around. Allergy sufferers will be pleased to know that ergoPouch Stretch Sheets proudly carry the tick of approval from the Eczema Association Australasia.

Initially I was sceptical about the ‘one-size-fits-all’ description, expecting a fit so tight you could hear the seams groan in despair, but I was pleasantly surprised. The Bamboo Stretch Sheets easily snapped around our thick single mattresses with the strong, elasticised trim staying neatly in place.

Not only are ergoPouch Stretch Sheets a smart decision for your family budget, they also keep your linen cupboard tidy and easy to manage. There is no more need to hunt for a specific sheet to fit a certain bed or grabbing the wrong sheet during a midnight change of linen, you can use your ergoPouch sheets on all of the kids’ beds. Comfortable, convenient and cost-effective, it’s a big thumbs up from me!

The ergoPouch Bamboo Stretch Sheet is currently available in four stylish colours: Grey, Mint, Natural and Pink.

Blue Brontide

As small as she is miss Hattie has everyone wrapped around her little finger, one of her favourite things to do is making everyone laugh at mealtimes with her silly faces and funny sounds. She loves feeding herself (and making lots of mess) so I think this adorable Little Lola Boutique dish would totally make her day:

Blue Brontide Rabbit cutlery

Brought to you by UK eco-label Blue Brontide this pretty mealtime range will delight even the fussiest little eater and turn dinner struggles into dinner smiles, guaranteed.

Blue Brontide BunnyI know they usually say no pets at the dinner table, but how you can say no to this sweet bunny? The beautiful eco-friendly Rabbit Plate (RRP $39.95, 20 x 20cm) is made from natural pine wood and features three different sections. Our children love eating from divider plates as it makes a large meal less overwhelming, they can keep foods separated (great for those with sensory issues) and eat in stages.

Bunny CutleryFor the ultimate dinner experience there is matching Rabbit Cutlery available too (RRP $25.95, fork and spoon) with the same laughing or happy rabbit design on the sturdy wooden handle. Designed for small hands the fork and spoon set is soft and smooth to touch with rounded corners. I think the colour differences in the wood grain add such a special touch to this unique eco mealtime collection.

KicKee Pants

When I ordered my very first piece of KicKee Pants gear a few years ago it was love at first sight. I was very impressed by the gorgeous prints, super soft fabrics, comfy fits and excellent quality, so the brand has been a personal favourite ever since.

Romper KicKee Pants

With only a handful of Aussie stockists it is not easy for Australian mamas to get their hands on some KicKee Pants, but you can always count on eco boutique Avidiva to have some in stock:

KicKee Pants Popsicle TeeMade from a luxurious bamboo blend KicKee Pants clothing is gentle against delicate baby skin, it is also nice and stretchy so your baby can move around freely and keeps baby warmer in winter and cooler in summer. By choosing bamboo you are making an eco-friendly, sustainable choice, providing you with peace of mind that your precious bundle is not breathing in any nasty chemicals.

Jade Ruffle RomperAnyone who has met one (or all) of my youngest three girls as babies will recognise those pretty KicKee Pants ruffles. Ruffle footies, coveralls, pants, onesies and rompers, we’ve tried them all. I love how the simple addition of some sweet frills adds a special festive touch, whilst staying comfortable and practical at the same time. The KicKee Pants Stork Romper ($42, size 0-12m) is one my top ruffly picks, isn’t the jade colour divine?

KicKee Pants Crimson FootieThe range caters for trendy little boys and girls and from birth up to 3 years (depending on the style), there are even a few pieces for lovely mamas who enjoy a little bamboo luxury. As a mother of five I am a firm believer in buying quality product that is durable and stands many washes, KicKee Pants has proven over and over again that their clothing maintains its softness and shape so it’s a real winner for us.
