The uggs are back in use, the woodfire is on and the beds are made with flannelette sheets… the cold season has well and truly arrived! She may be old enough for a proper girl bed, but Hattie is definitely not big enough to manage the sheets and keep her quilt on throughout the night. Of course I hate to think that she’s laying there in the cold, so I trust ergoPouch to keep her warm all night long:

Super soft, padded and snuggly warm, stepping into a ergoPouch 2.5 TOG Winter Sleep Suit (RRP $64.95) is pretty much like being wrapped up in a cosy quilt that fits your body like a glove. I secretly wish they made these awesome sleep suits in my size too!

Over the years ergoPouch has become known around the globe for its dedication to natural fibres, offering parents a safe choice for their baby and the environment. By avoiding nasty chemicals and itchy synthetic fabrics ergoPouch has also earnt the tick of approval from the Eczema Association, great peace of mind for those with sensitive skin! The Winter Sleep Suit outer is made with 95% organic cotton with a touch of elastane to allow active kids to move around freely, while the thick 100% organic cotton filling keeps cold chills at bay with a 2.5 TOG rating.

As Hattie is past the sleeping bag stage the Winter Sleep Suit is the perfect next step, it’s just as comfortable and warm and at the same time it allows her to hop in and out of bed by herself and walk around too. Dressing your little sleepy head and midnight nappy checks/changes are a breeze thanks to the special three-way zip, opening up both the front and back. It also has super handy fold-over cuffs at the wrists (up to size 2) and ankles, allowing you to cover tiny toes and little hands in just a flash.

The 2.5 TOG Winter Sleep Suit is currently available in sizes 1 to 5 years and comes in three gorgeous prints to suit boys and girls: Midnight Arrows, Petals and Triangle Pops.

I won’t lie, I have found this first back-to-school week rather stressful. As a result I *may* have indulged in a bit of online shopping therapy to get me through, please tell me I am not the only one? I love seeing the new Autumn/Winter styles slowly arriving into stores and I can’t wait to get started on the kids’ wardrobes for next season. Need some inspiration? The brand new Eeni Meeni Miini Moh collection has just been released and here are my favourites:

Now that she is a big kindy girl miss Sybil is working very hard at dressing herself in the morning, I think this stripey Boatneck Dress (RRP $64.95, size 12m – 5) would make a fabulous ‘easy’ kindy dress that is soft, comfortable and easy to put on and take off. Just add a pair of tights/leggings to make urgent toilet breaks a breeze too, there’s no time to wrestle with buttons or zips!

At almost 17 months old Harriet is no longer a baby, she’s running around everywhere and turning out to be quite the independent, cheeky toddler. Purple hues look amazing on her, so my pick for her would be the pretty Owl Frill Top in gorgeous Vervain Marle, matched up with the funky Indigo Marle Skegging (RRP $49.95, size 12m – 5). How cute is the ‘left’ and ‘right’ heart detail on the knees? So adorable.

I know that after a whole week in school uniform my girls are always looking forward to putting on something bright, comfortable and girly. Olivia would absolutely love the vibrant ‘lipstick’ hue of the Hoodie Dress (RRP $74.95, size 2-12) , but if your little lady prefers something a bit more subtle the dress is available in black marle too. I think it would make a great outfit for a relaxed winter weekend.

If you were to ask Juliet you can never go wrong with some bright pink and silver shine, take this sweet mix + match combi with the Relaxed Paris TopStriped Skegging (RRP $49.95, size 2-8) and as the star of the show the Silver Foil Gathered Skirt (RRP $69.95, size 2-12). The three styles look amazing together but can also easily be worn with other colours and garments that are already in your child’s wardrobe so you can create a range of different looks.

Last but not least our one and only boy who is growing so fast I can hardly keep up, can you believe he is already wearing the same shoe size as his mum? With the cooler season in mind I think the Gauge Knit Sweater (RRP $79.95, size 2-8) is a great mix of cool and classy. The Mist Marle is neutral yet adds a little touch of colour to an often dark and grey season. Team it up with the super relaxed Dude Pant (RRP $84.95, size 2 -12) and you’ve got yourself a winning combo that is sure to get the thumbs up from your favourite guy.

I may not have a little man to dress right now but that won’t stop me admiring all the stylish new Eeni Meeni boys gear. This season is far from boring with some great bright flashes mixed in with the timeless greys, blue and green tones. I love it when kids are allowed to be kids and can show a bit of spunk and personality through their wardrobe, you’re only young for a little while!

Wear your frock with a nice pair of leggings or Eeni’s signature skeggings and you’ve got an awesome winter look that’s comfy, cool and tu tu cute. I know my two middle girls would adore this dress, keep an eye out for the light pink/light blue version too.

Eeni Meeni Skegging‘A skegging?’ I hear you think,’What on earth is a skegging?’. If you haven’t discovered this clever invention just yet you sure are missing out. The ease, comfort and softness of a legging, matched with the girly frills of a little skirt make for a winning combo that girls go crazy for (Our miss Sybbie has a major meltdown when all her skeggings are in the washing). Skeggings (were $49.95 now $34.95) are available in a range of colours and prints and look great with long sleeve tees, cardigans, hoodies, singlets and even under dresses for some extra oomph.

Eeni Meeni Cape SweaterWith still plenty of cold weather left this winter you may want to grab a few cosy knits and sweaters to keep the chills at bay. This season’s Knit Cape Sweater (was $84.95, now $49.95) is an easy way to add an extra layer of warmth and the 100% cotton fabric is soft and snuggly. And then it was Saturday, finally! On schooldays I generally rush around like a mad woman and hardly have time for breakfast, let alone to brush my hair and put make-up on, so on the weekend I always try to find 5 minutes just for me. A bit of lipgloss and mascara, some sleek and shine for my hair and of course an outfit that’s both comfortable and stylish.

Eeni Mum

Eeni Meeni Miini Moh has weekends covered with this fabulous ladies look: a limited edition Cape and Yoga Leggings that are perfect for relaxing at home, going out for lunch, a bit of shopping, coffee with friends or anything else that makes your weekend amazing.

Sunday DressAfter its big success last year the Article: Ladies Yoga Leggings (RRP $59.95, size Small-Large) are back for a repeat. These stretchy leggings are a must-have winter staple and a piece of luxury in disguise, Eeni Meeni’s specially milled cotton jersey mixed with a touch of elastane equals cosy comfort all day long. Layer these babies with the brand new Ladies Cape, your favourite dress, tunic or over-sized shirt for easy peasy winter style for trendy mamas.

The Article: Ladies Cape (RRP $139.95, one size) feature a classic cowl neckline that’s flattering and feminine and a cosy rib sleeve cuff to keep cold chills at bay. Made from 100% cotton single jersey gauge knit it is super soft and cosy, bring on the cooler season I’d say! Currently available in timeless noir and grey marle this gorgeous knit is a great match for virtually anything in your winter wardrobe.

Eeni Meeni Miini Moh – Autumn/Winter 2016

Eeni Meeni logo

Now that our plane tickets have been booked I can slowly start thinking about our kids’ holiday wardrobe. Packing clothing for five little people to last five weeks requires a bit of planning and shopping ahead and the timing happens to be perfect. I can pick up the newest Winter Eeni Meeni Miini Moh arrivals for the chilly days and scoop up some of the half price Summer bargains too (last day today!) for the sunny days too, all in one shop.

Eeni Tommie

So what are the pieces that got me all excited for the cool season? First on my list are birthday outfits for the twins, who will be turning 8 in three different countries this year as we are flying on their actual birthday (they have even been promised a birthday cake on the plane). I think the ‘Don’t grow up, it’s a trap’ T-shirt (RRP $44.95, size 2-12) is a perfect party pick for Tommie. The Liquorice Cargo Pants (RRP $79.95, size 2-12) are a great match, the dark colour is stain-friendly for accident-prone boys and the drawstring waist is gentle against the skin (and quick and easy come dressing/toilet breaks).

Eeni Olivia

For Olivia I didn’t have to think twice, this Stripe Dress (RRP $64.95, size 2-12) is just gorgeous and lovely for older girls too. I am so pleased she still loves wearing dresses so I’m making the most of it while I can, with sandals in summer and with legging and boots in winter. Eeni Meeni Miini Moh has teamed the dress up with these neutral Charcoal Marle Leggings (RRP $39.95, size 2-12), if only I knew where to find those awesome pink magenta boots to complete the look!

Eeni Harriet

The twins are not the only ones who are celebrating a birthday during our holiday, our precious Harriet will turn one on ‘foreign’ soil too. After missing out on so many birthdays with the Dutch side of the family I can’t wait to share this special milestone with my family. I think the Flamingo/Vanilla Dress (RRP $49.95, size 0-18 months) and the Flamingo Leggings (RRP $29.95, size 0-18 months) are perfect party material, the pretty pink colour and sweet ruffle details on the shoulders and ankles are too cute and there is even a matching bib to protect the outfit from birthday cake!

Eeni Juliet

Then there is our darling Juliet, our happy, bright, cheeky girl who will be 6 by the time we leave. As our second daughter she often ends up with hand-me-downs, not a problem at all of course but she does enjoy getting something new just for her every now and then. I know she would find this wise bunny Frill Top (RRP $44.95, size 2-12) adorable and the pink would look lovely with her blonde curls. All our girls are big fans of the famous Eeni skeggings so these funky Stripe Skeggings (RRP $49.95, size 2-8) would be a great addition to our collection.

DSC_3845 copy 2

To the biggest jealousy of her sisters miss Sybil got a head start this year, she scored her Eeni Meeni Miini Moh winter outfit already! The stunning Cirque Top (RRP $44.95, size 12m-5) in warm eggplant purple and the Ash Skeggings (RRP $49.95, size 12m-5) look amazing together. This girl, her smile just light up the room…

Een Meeni Miini Moh – End of Season Sale

Thought the time for bargains was over now that all those EOFY sales have ended? Well you’re wrong! You can start the new financial with a bang by saving big in the Eeni Meeni Miini Moh End of Season sale that started yesterday, there are loads of gorgeous styles to choose from and with plenty of cool weather left the kids will get lots of wear out of their new gear. This is what I have my eye on right now:

Eeni Meeni Polo ShirtShopping the Eeni Meeni sale is super easy thanks to the handy size search function. Just select the size and gender of your choice and you’re immediately presented with a custom list of sale picks that fits your needs. Starting with our one and only boy (for now… he is very hopeful that he will get a baby brother come October) I can’t go past this long sleeve Polo T-shirt (now $34.97), you can never go wrong with porcelain blue (nice alternative to navy) and the sapphire sleeves add a cheerful touch to a rainy winter day.

Eeni Meeni headbandsThen there is his twin sister. I know our biggest girl very well and if she could have her pick from the Eeni Meeni Miini Moh sale she’d go for these Signature Headbands (now $10.47), one for school and one of play. We have a few of these famous Eeni Meeni headbands already and with three girls in the house they are worn a lot. They’re wide, stretchy and soft (unlike the headbands with pointy crocodile teeth!) and do an excellent job keeping loose strands of hair out of the way.

Eeni Meeni Hoodie DressOur almost 5-year old is loving her time at kindy, she particularly enjoys the outdoor activities so I try to rug her up warmly whilst holding on to her preference for girly clothes. This cool Hoodie Dress (now $55.97) is the ideal combination of the two, the hoodie is warm and cosy, the skirt is girly and teamed up with a pair of leggings she’s ready for outside fun on chilly days. The dress is available in two colours but stock is running out fast so if you want to get your hands on one you better be fast.

Eeni Meeni Twirl DressOur beautiful Sybbie is quickly turning from a toddler into a little girl and as small as she is she gets very excited at the sight of pretty dresses (I wonder where she got that from??). I know she would totally love this Twirl Dress (now $48.97) with its sweet orchid spot print. The soft cotton is perfect for her delicate skin and being a dress there will be no exposed tummy or back while she spends the day exploring. Pop on some leggings/tights and boots and you’re winter ready.
