If your daughter is a big Australian Girl fan there is no doubt she’s already thinking of what her little friend can wear this Christmas. Of course Christmas is not about the clothes or the presents but it is nice to dress up sometimes, which is why you’ll find some new designs in store just in time for the festive season:

The latest addition to the Australian Girl wardrobe is the Summer Christmas Dress ($24.95). There are only limited numbers available so if you would like to see your doll dressed in this cute floral print dress with bright red ribbon you will have to be quick. All Australian Girl outfits arrive in a cute little gift box, so just plant a big bow on it and it is ready to go under the tree. Nice to know: this dress is Australian designed and made so you are supporting local businesses too.

The new Lilac Gown ($24.50) makes the perfect party dress, not just for Christmas but for any other special occasion too. A birthday, a wedding, a communion or school ball, your Australian Girl Doll won’t have to fret when the next invitation arrives. Just in case it gets a little chilly, make sure you also bring the hooded Velvet Cape ($23.95) to keep your doll snuggly warm. The magical purple colour matches the dress beautifully.

If you have a precious little lady in your life you might have already discovered the wonderful Australian Girl Dolls. If you haven’t yet you are totally missing out, you can read about this fantastic label and its important message here and here. With Christmas coming up soon a lot has been happening at the Australian Girl head office, here are just a few of the hot new arrivals:

Now every girl needs to sleep sometimes, especially the Australian Girl Dolls who are busy ladies who love being active outdoors. The beautiful new Australian Girl Doll Beds ($59.95) are handmade right here in Australia by a lovely grandad, don’t they look amazing? The beds come complete with mattress and are easy to assemble, the cute Aussie Bugs Bedding Set ($25) is sold separately.

If your daughter is a real Australian Girl fan this would make the perfect Christmas gift, I am sure it will get a special place in your little girl’s bedroom. The Australian Girl Doll Bed is made of natural wood so you can leave it as it is (it’s beautiful!) or paint or stain it to match your girl’s bedroom or doll corner (a great holiday activity).  Because orders are coming in fast and poor grandad needs to sleep too you will have to get your order in before October 31 to ensure delivery before Christmas.

It was a long time in the making but it’s finally here, the Sport Action Set ($29.95). This 4 piece set can be worn by each of the Australian Girl Dolls and is the perfect addition to your doll’s wardrobe. The stylish pink and green dress features a star pattern and together with the green shorts and pink and white runners and socks she’ll be ready for an active afternoon. Remember, everyone is a winner!

Although the brand new Matilda ($124.95)  is not going to arrive before Christmas the waiting list is growing rapidly, make sure you get your name down so your Matilda doll can be delivered in January. Doesn’t she look just gorgeous? Matilda has the most gorgeous curly red hair and comes dressed in a purple striped top, denim skirt and of course the signature Australian Girl Ugg boots.

When I look back at pictures from a year ago I can’t believe how much the children have grown. Last Christmas our youngest daughter was only 4 months old, she was asleep during our Christmas dinner and is not in any photo’s. She has grown into a gorgeous chubby girl who is an absolute delight, the twins are now big 3-year olds who would start school today if they could. But my kids are not the only ones who have grown this past year, some of the Australian Girl Dolls have undergone a little transformation too.

You might remember Amy as a the sporty one of the group, wearing a cute netball outfit with pleat skirt. Well Amy has finished her last game of the year and is now dressed for a party in a lovely pink party dress complete with tulle underskirt. Of course a party asks for party shoes so Amy is wearing sparkly thongs, festive season here she comes! The dress closes with studs, it would be a shame if Velcro damaged her beautiful hair.

If your daughter is the active kind who loves sports you will be pleased to know that a new netball outfit is in the making for next year, after all Australian Girl is all about promoting a healthy lifestyle for young Australian girls. Speaking of active, Emily is a great example of a real Aussie girl who enjoys spending all her time outdoors. Is your little lady crazy about the outback and caring for native wildlife too?

Like any real group of friends the Australian Girl Dolls are a perfect mix, each girl has her own personality. You can get to know the girls a little more by reading the first Australian Girl adventure novel The Rainbow Necklace, at just $14.95 this makes a fabulous Christmas gift idea for any Australian Girl doll fan. You can even become the proud owner of your very own rainbow bracelet ($10.95)!
