Royal Baby

For months people from all over the world have been speculating about the royal baby. Will it be a boy or a girl and what will they call it? What pram will the new mum be pushing and what nappy bag will she be carrying? Some of these questions are yet to be answered but there is one thing we know for sure: what the new arrival will be wearing…

Sapling Owl On Branch RomperWhen Australian designer and small business owner Peta from Sapling recently received a new online order I bet she wasn’t expecting it to be from the one-and-only Duchess Of Cambridge. Somehow the glowing mum-to-be discovered this lovely organic clothing label from Melbourne and she ordered a big box of Sapling goodies for the royal baby. Beautifully designed and made from the softest organic cotton these garments are sure to be a favourite in the royal wardrobe.

Sapling Bird in Tree BodysuitUnlike what you may think Sapling is actually very well priced, prices start at just $14.95 and there is nothing over $29.95. The range consists of tops, bottoms, rompers and bodysuits and caters for boys and girls from 0 to 12 months old. I have my eye on this gorgeous Bird in Tree Bodysuit ($26.95) for our little lady. If you have a tiny prince or princess of your own who deserves some soft, safe and sumptious Sapling fashion you can order your favourite Sapling pieces from BabyDonkie.

I don’t know what the weather is like were you are but here it is a bit of a mix, some days it is very warm and the kids run around in singlets and shorts, yet the next day it is much cooler and I have to get out the long sleeve tops and even cardigans. No matter what the days have been like, the nights are definitely not up to summer temperature yet so my son’s nice snugly Mida pyama’s from Bubzyboo are still getting a great workout.

Mida pyjama’s ($35.95, size 1-4) are designed right here in Australia and are made of lovely soft cotton. The 2-piece sets consist of a long sleeve top with beautiful applique and finely ribbed neck and cuffs matched with a cool pair of striped pants with elastic waist. The snug fit keeps little boys nice and warm and allows them to move freely, because no one likes bulky clothes that get in the way. There are currently three different styles available with owl, horse stick or spider web applique.

Of course Bubzyboo has more to offer than just pyjama’s (because as much as I would love it we just can’t walk in our pyjama’s all day), in store you’ll find products for babies, boys, girls and even mums. From clothing to sleepwear, toys to room decor, accessories and cloth nappies, owner Ranna has handpicked her favourites from Australian labels as well as overseas brands.

One of the Australian labels available at Bubzyboo is House of Bebe, offering a range of stunning baby slings that are made using the most divine fabrics. Baby wearing is becoming more and more popular and this collection proves that you can carry your baby in style. The Henna sling ($60, size small, medium and large) is my favourite, I just love the floral print in natural brown tones, a perfect choice for a stylish mum.
