EK Books

You may not expect it (coming from someone who moved to the other side of the world for love) but I am actually a real homebody, I love staying close to home and I don’t like change. I am at my best when I am at home, in a familiar, safe, comfortable environment where I know everything and everyone. Our little miss Sybbie is just like her mama and she would prefer to stay with me every day which does get a bit tricky sometimes, so I was very excited to discover this gorgeous new EK Books title:

In Scaredy Book we visit the local library, filled with fun, exciting, adventurous books who love being borrowed and going on special outings with the children who borrowed them. Except for Book, a quiet book that prefers the safety of the library shelf. Its pages are still clean and neat, why risk them getting bent, smudged or even ripped out during an ‘outing’? What if he gets lost? But Book’s safe life is also a little boring and it would be nice to see the wide world out there. Then one day Emma visit the library, now its Book’s time to be brave!

If your precious little one needs some encouragement to step out of his/her comfort zone, if you have big holiday or excursion coming up or if you just want to teach your child about being brave, confident and giving things a go, Scaredy Book is a must-read. Written by Devon Sillett and illustrated by Cara King the book is filled with gorgeous illustrations, the story-line relatable and it is both fun for children to read or listen to. Scaredy Book has been a really welcome addition to our book shelf.

You can find Scaredy Book (RRP $24.99) in leading book stores across Australia.
