BabyLove

After travelling across the globe with little miss Hattie on my hip I truly believe that changing a wriggly baby on a plane is an olympic sport. At the cheeky age of 12 months Harriet loves rolling away when you say no, not something I’d recommend on a wobbly change table above a dirty plane toilet! Thankfully I came well prepared and packed a generous stack of these new BabyLove lifesavers in my nappy bag:

Designed with active and curious boys and girls in mind the new BabyLove Wriggler Nappy Pants (size 7-11kg) take the struggle out of nappy changes with a convenient pull-up design.

Wriggler NappyWriggler Nappy Pants feel soft and comfortable and have a 360˚ stretchy waist, making them super flexible and ideal for little busy-bees who are on the move all day long. They are thoroughly tested for excellent absorbency so that they can be worn during the day and at night without having to worry about messy accidents. Thanks to the special ‘Tear Away Side Seams’ there’s no need to pull the full nappy down, just tear open and remove.

Wriggler Nappy PantsUsually Hattie would kick her legs, wiggle her bottom, pull away the nappy or roll over in an attempt to escape the dreaded nappy routine, but the Wriggler Nappy Pants quickly put a stop to all that cheekiness. Once her chubby little feet are in the job is pretty much done, just pull them up et voila! On a few occasions we even changed her standing up which is very handy in cramped spaces.

So far I have no leaks to report (both day and night) and Hattie’s skin is smooth and squishy as usual so it’s thumbs up from us. I am very pleased that there are now nappy pants available for this younger age category, they makes this busy mum’s life that little bit easier and they are simple to use for grandparents and babysitters (the print even indicates which side is the front/back, it doesn’t get more straight forward than that!).

Hip Tip: Do you want to put the new BabyLove Wriggler Nappy Pants to the test with your little wriggler? Request your free sample here and see for yourself what all the talk is about.

Globber

She may only be three years old but our miss Sybbie is always trying to keep up with the big kids, with all the older siblings off on their new scooters it was only a matter of time until this little adventurer followed suit. She’s turning out to be a real daredevil who loves cruising the local park on her Globber wheels (with mama watching nervously from the sidelines!):

Globber 001

Being a 3-wheel scooter the cool Globber MyFREE Up (RRP $130, ages 3+) allows young riders to experience the joy and excitement of riding and controlling their own scooter, while being supported by a sturdy, well balanced frame that makes it easier for them to stay upright.

Globber 002

This funky Globber scooter may be smaller in size but it is just as big in style, safety, durability and quality as the rest of the Globber family. The curved design looks playful and child-friendly and it rides super smooth. With a weight limit of 50kg and a height adjustable handlebar that can be changed from 67.5 up to 77.5cm the Globber MyFree Up grows effortlessly with your child so kids can scoot around for longer.

MyFREE Up PurpleDesigned with young children in mind the MyFree Up is fitted with a range of great features that ensure a safe, comfortable ride for little legs. Take for example the steering lock which locks the steering to help new riders master the stepping and rolling action (quite tricky when you’re learning!) without having to worry too much about steering at the same time. The special X-cross deck design creates a stronger deck and improves directional turning performance using the T-bar handlebar.

Personally I feel the low deck design is fantastic, it makes it so much for easier for kids to get on and off with confidence and thanks to not having to lift their feet that high riding is less tiring too. As a beginner Sybbie usually takes lots of little steps with short roll-outs, but the colourful dual-injection deck is roomy enough for small feet to stand next to each other when going down-hill or to have a rest while being pushed by a helpful adult.

Globber 003

The MyFree Up is currently available in five trendy colours suitable for street smart boys and girls, so there is a perfect ride for everyone. Being a real girly-girl our little lady obviously voted for pink, she even insisted on a helmet to match!

As a child visiting Disneyland Paris was one of my biggest dreams, so to be able to enjoy the magic of Disney with my own little ones is extra special for me. Their beaming smiles, their beautiful eyes big with wonder, their excited voices and happy squeals, it was quite the expense for a family of seven but it was totally worth it. We were so lucky with the weather and managed to meet and greet (pretty much) all our Disney favourites.

Empowering Resources

One day someone asked me why we chose to have a larger family, as surely after two children ‘you’ve seen it all before’. Some may feel this way but as a mother of five I strongly disagree, I love all their different personalities, their quirky habits and watching them grow and develop into beautiful individuals. Sadly there is a lot of pressure on children to fit into a standard mould instead of celebrating diversity which is why I absolute love this Empowering Resources book:

You're Different, Jemima

In You’re Different, Jemima (RRP $17) we meet a gorgeous girl called Jemima who is enthusiastic, full of ideas and has a big imagination. Sadly her teacher is not so appreciative of Jemima’s excitement, she insists Jemima fits in with the rest of the class and slowly Jemima is starting to lose her spark… Thankfully a lovely new teacher sees Jemima’s differences as qualities, celebrates her uniqueness and she encourages Jemima to be her-special-self.

I think as parents we all see things in our children that are a little ‘different’ and at times we may worry that this will make them stand out. Let’s stop seeing different as negative and turn things around, different is awesome!

Blue Brontide

As small as she is miss Hattie has everyone wrapped around her little finger, one of her favourite things to do is making everyone laugh at mealtimes with her silly faces and funny sounds. She loves feeding herself (and making lots of mess) so I think this adorable Little Lola Boutique dish would totally make her day:

Blue Brontide Rabbit cutlery

Brought to you by UK eco-label Blue Brontide this pretty mealtime range will delight even the fussiest little eater and turn dinner struggles into dinner smiles, guaranteed.

Blue Brontide BunnyI know they usually say no pets at the dinner table, but how you can say no to this sweet bunny? The beautiful eco-friendly Rabbit Plate (RRP $39.95, 20 x 20cm) is made from natural pine wood and features three different sections. Our children love eating from divider plates as it makes a large meal less overwhelming, they can keep foods separated (great for those with sensory issues) and eat in stages.

Bunny CutleryFor the ultimate dinner experience there is matching Rabbit Cutlery available too (RRP $25.95, fork and spoon) with the same laughing or happy rabbit design on the sturdy wooden handle. Designed for small hands the fork and spoon set is soft and smooth to touch with rounded corners. I think the colour differences in the wood grain add such a special touch to this unique eco mealtime collection.
