In Dutch there is a saying that goes ‘Wie wat bewaart, heeft wat’ which literally means ‘Who saves something, has something’ and that’s exactly the story behind today’s Mama on Monday look. Pretty much all of these pieces are a few years old and I am still enjoying them, now that’s budget friendly!

Wearing:
Maternity/Nursing Dress in navy marle by Mamaway
I originally picked this dress with its feminine ruffle front as a nursing garment when I was breastfeeding baby no.3 (a few years ago now!). The button front allows for easy nursing access and the loose fit was perfect for hiding those post-baby lumps and bumps. I pulled it out again when I fell pregnant with baby no.4 and wore it all through pregnancy and breastfeeding. I’m so glad I held onto it because I still love it and the thick, warm fabric is just what I needed this cold weekend.

Over Belly Style Leggings ($10) by Fertile Mind

Frampton Boots ($199.95) by Tony Bianco
These classic black wax leather boots were a Mother’s Day gift from hubby a few years back and I wear them all the time over leggings, tights and jeans. Yes they are in desperate need of a good polish (I’m too busy wearing them to find the time for that!) and I have had them re-soled once but they still are one of my favourite shoes and I can’t see myself saying goodbye to them anytime soon. I remember clearly how spoilt I felt when I first got them and I still feel like that when I slip them on. As a real Tony Bianco best-seller they return for another round every year and you can still purchase them in store today.

Paba Allira in Moonbeam by gr8x
About five years ago gr8x released a special, limited edition, leather nappy bag collection called Paba and I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Allira in Moonbeam. Made from high quality Italian pebble grain leather they were quite the luxury piece and clearly well worth the investment, even after 5 years the leather still looks amazing and the design is just as fashionable today as it was back then.
