When the twins were born 6 years ago one of the first gifts we received was the book Where is the Green Sheep? by much loved Australian author Mem Fox. As I was only new to Australia I didn’t realise at the time how famous this children’s book really is, now I know that most Australian children have a copy of this lovely read on their bookshelf and we’ve read ours over and over again.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of this family favourite Penguin Books Australia has released a gorgeous Where is the Green Sheep? Gift Set (RRP $24.99) for young readers containing a Where is the Green Sheep? Board Book and Block Puzzle.
Where is the Green Sheep? is a sweet picture book written for children aged 3-6 years (but I think it’s fun for all ages!). Follow a flock of friendly sheep, see what they get up to and hunt for the green sheep. Little readers will enjoy spotting the different colours and looking at the beautiful illustrations by Judy Horacek while older readers will love the rhyming element, it’s so much fun to read AND to listen to.
You can turn this woolly adventure into an interactive game with the cute Where is the Green Sheep? Block Puzzle. Featuring chunky blocks it’s the perfect size for small hands and with 6 different images to create it will keep young minds busy for quite some time. The board book and puzzle are neatly packed together in special gift box making it the perfect present for a special little person in your life.
