Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Did you know there are only 4 weeks left of this school term? Before you know it it’s time for Summer holidays and we’ve found the perfect holiday read that is sure to keep the kids quiet (aside from a loud laugh here and there!), check out the newest title in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series:

The Long Haul

Author Jeff Kinney has gained a huge following through his best selling Diary of a Wimpy Kid book series and fans around the globe have waiting for Dairy of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul (RRP $14.99) to hit the shelves. Great news, you can stop counting down because it’s here!

For Greg Heffley it’s school holidays too and he is looking forward to doing absolutely nothing, except his mum has different ideas and decides to take the family on a road trip. Inspired by her favourite family magazine she has come well prepared with healthy snacks, a potty for Manny, interesting and educational car games, a Spanish language course and of course a ban on electronic devices, not exactly things Greg gets excited about.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Of course it wouldn’t be Diary of a Wimpy Kid worthy if the road trip wasn’t full of interesting and hilarious events. From stinky socks and fried butter on a stick to a bearded (and rather frightening) stranger and even a little piggy passenger, the Heffley family road trip is one that has to be read to be believed. Priced at $14.99 The Long Haul is a fabulous stocking filler for your young reader.

  1. We drove up to Robe to see the ‘Big Lobster.’ Our kids enjoyed the scenic drive and when we arrived they were in awe of the size of the Lobster. We decided to have lobster for lunch and the kids were disappointed when the lobster was served as they expected it to be as huge as the tourist attraction outside!

  2. We drove to Sydney oh my goodness, what a nightmare the kids complained the WHOLE way, needed to go the loo every other minute.Let me tell you NEVER again.

  3. We drove to QLD and had recorded on cassette the movie Ferris Bueller’s days off. We recited it over and over…………drove our parents crazy!

  4. I had a 8 year old and a 2 year old, my 2 year old vomited the whole trip which started my daughters road sickness, between the stopping to go to the toilet and cleaning up the kids, trying to find a chemist open on a Saturday afternoon along the trip, my 8 yo didn’t want the car to drive and started crying saying the car made her feel sick so we continuously stopped and started, my 2 yo starts crying, worst, smelliest, loudest, headache inducing what should have been 3 hours turned into 4 at least, but we all laugh about it now there older

  5. my best friend and i travelled 30,000km on a road trip around the USA over 3 months. we had very little money, basic essentials and no map. it was the best 3 months of my life!
