It’s been a long time coming but baby Sybil has FINALLY got a tooth, two to be exact! We’ve been on the lookout for months and were starting to get a little impatient (and slightly worried) but at almost 11 months old that much anticipated first tiny white bud appeared from her bottom gums. We now have two cheeky little teeth poking out at the bottom and at the top a big one is also on its way down. I don’t know about you but I get weak in the knees at the sight of those adorable little chompers, baby teeth are just so cute!
They may look terribly cute but teeth (even if only small) sadly don’t usually cut through without causing a fair bit of discomfort, a lot of tears and sleepless nights and we most definitely had our share this last month. Luckily after four children I know what common teething symptoms look like so I was well stocked with Nurofen for Children, frozen fruit and wet facewashers in the freezer and of course some beautiful wooden teething toys to much on. We’ve got the hang of this teething business now so let’s hope we don’t have to wait another 10 months for the next tooth to appear!
No matter how many children you have or how experienced you are, sometimes it can be very refreshing to read helpful advice from experts in the field even if it is just for reassurance. The professionals at Nurofen for Children have put together a helpful list of practical parenting tips that you can access 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, after all little (and big) aches and pains always appear when you least expect them to!
While you are on the Nurofen for Children website make sure you download your copy of ‘Unravelling the Magic of Discovery’, it’s a great parenting guide full of useful advice and interesting insights and it’s FREE. Of course you may not always be able to or want to hop on the computer so we’ve also got two hard copies of this handy book to give away, a great addition to your family book shelf that you will refer to more often than you think!
