They may be twins but my two 4-year olds are like chalk and cheese. My son loves writing, reading, learning and studying anything from machines to nature. My daughter is absolutely not interested in practising her ABCs, she wants to dress up, create necklaces and crowns and make abstract little drawings for her friends, complete with handmade envelopes decorated with tiny hearts. This week I spoiled her a little and ordered some goodies from Sammy & Lola:
Sammy & Lola is an Australian online store dedicated to vintage inspired and kawaii stationary and craft supplies. Owner Maryanne is always on the look out for unique products and new stock is arriving all the time, I am a bit addicted to checking the Sammy & Lola Facebook page for her latest finds. Anyway, a little while ago I spotted these beautiful wooden envelope templates and knew my daughter would love them so when I heard about this 30% storewide sale I couldn’t resist:
Save 30% storewide at Sammy & Lola simply enter the code ‘2013EOFYS’ at checkout, minimal order value $20. Hurry as offer ends June 30, 2013.
I figured miss 4 can trace around the template, cut on the lines and fold/glue her own envelopes, so cute! I picked up two different envelope stencils as well as this gorgeous Vintage Style Wooden Number Stencil. It’s already reduced to $4.80 and with the extra discount the template costs just $3.35, what a bargain. Yesterday afternoon the kids got their markers out and gave it a go, the results look absolutely lovely.
For myself I picked this stunning Wooden Lace Stamp ($2.77 with the discount code), Can’t wait to use it for our Christmas wrapping this year. Because I was putting in an order anyway I quickly added some cute little Apple Pens (just $0.98 with the discount code) for the gift cupboard, there are loads of small and cheap nic nacs available in store that are perfect for party bags or Christmas stockings.
