February was a busy month for Disney with lots of new releases hitting stores, from new names to familiar faces there is something for everyone to enjoy:

Monsters Inc 3DNo matter how many times my trio has already seen Monsters Inc, they still get excited by Mike and Sully and will watch this movie again and again. To see the friendly monsters in 3D at the movies earlier this year was a whole new experience for them, they had such a great time! If you’re already a fan Monsters Inc 3D is sure to rekindle your friendship with the lovable, funny characters and if you’re yet to meet them be prepared to fall in love.

Monsters Inc is available on Blu-ray 3D ($49.95) and Blu-ray 2D ($39.95) at major retailers across Australia.

Pixar Short Films Vol 2Knowing how much my kids enjoy Toy Story, Cars, Up and Ratatouille I had no doubt they would love this collection of Pixar Short Films Volume 2. The 12 bite-size films featuring many of Pixar’s favourite creations are suitable (and fun!) for all ages, my trio loves watching one or two just before dinner while I am busy in the kitchen. A great collection for the whole family, at our house the biggest winner was Ratatouille’s Your Friend The Rat.

Pixar Short Films Volume 2 is available on Blu-ray ($42.95) and DVD ($36.95) at major retailers across Australia.

FrankenweenieAlso available as of this month is Disney’s Frankenweenie, a black-and-white animated movie directed by Tim Burton. If your kids are not scared of a slightly spooky and dark story they’ll love following the exciting experiments of little Victor Frankenstein. After losing his beloved dog Sparky Victor invents a way to bring Sparky back to life, but is playing with life and death such a smart idea? Although in my opinion a bit too scary for little ones I have heard Frankenweenie is a huge hit with older kids.

Frankenweenie is available on Blu-ray ($49.95) and DVD ($39.95) at major retailers across Australia.
