Although I try to pretend our youngest is still a baby I have to admit that she is not a baby anymore. She has mastered several words already, is very good at following instructions (something that can not be said of her older siblings), surprises me every day by how smart she is and she is walking everywhere, even running sometimes. It feels like yesterday that we watched her doing her first steps and before we knew it she was cruising the house behind her LeapFrog Baby Walker.
If you thought that we now have no more use for this walker you are wrong, the multifunctionality of the LeapFrog Scout & Friends Walker makes it suitable (and interesting) for children aged 6-36 months. Usually walkers are not used for a long period of time, children tend to learn quickly and it doesn’t take long for them to go from careful shuffling to confident walking. So then the bulky walker becomes redundant and as it takes up too much room it moves into storage or the shed.
Unlike most walkers the LeapFrog Scout & Friends Walker can be used in three different positions: it can be laid flat for little ones to explore on the ground (the flat shape is ideal for storage too), it can stand up in locked position so babies can learn to stand without the walker rolling away and of course it can be used as a walker. Once the walking is mastered toddlers can use it in flat position once again to explore the many features.
The music mode introduces children to different sounds and melodies whilst the learning mode is all about letters, numbers, colours and more. Using colourful buttons, shapes and pictures children can practise their fine motor skills like pushing, pulling, sliding, spinning and flipping. Strangely enough the twins favourite part is the removable phone whereas the baby is intrigued by puppy Violet who teaches about going inside and outside. Of course she also loves walking with it, or should I say racing?
